Meyer's Proposal

Stewart was recently on The Howard Stern Show to talk about and promote her recently released film "Spencer." During her conversation with the host Howard Stern, he confronted her about a topic they had discussed in a previous interview; her engagement. The actress then admitted to him that she and Meyer are truly engaged.

In a previous interview with Stern, Stewart revealed that she intended to propose to Meyer in 2019 and had even made elaborate and fancy plans ahead of the event. However, according to her, the two of them decided to take their relationship slowly and let themselves find their way to the altar naturally.

And, from the news, it seems that they finally did. The proposal wasn't quite as Stewart planned because Meyer proposed, not her. However, the actress revealed that she wasn't upset at all because she wanted to be proposed to and because Meyer "nailed it."

The Couple Wanted Fieri To Officiate

During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, the "Charlie's Angels" star shared that she and Meyer would love the idea of Fieri being the officiant at their wedding. With his previous history as an officiant to gay wedding ceremonies, this wasn't too surprising to fans. What was left was the restauranter's decision.

She said, "We did hear that Guy Fieri from the Food Network officiates a lot of gay weddings. So the idea of that man- that sweet, sweet, spiky-headed man- coming to our wedding and officiating… it just makes me laugh so much!"

And of course, her fans loved the idea as well, so much that many tagged Fieri on his social media accounts and tried to get the Food Network star to notice the interview.

Fieri Is 'All in' To Officiate Stewart's Wedding

Stewart had a sit-down on the TODAY Show with hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie to promote "Spencer."

The hosts had a surprise waiting for the actress and soon revealed a pre-recorded message from Fieri. In the tape, Fieri said, "I heard through the Flavortown grapevine that you are looking for a sweet spiky-haired officiant for your wedding. I'm all in!"

Stewart was shocked and couldn't believe that the tape was real. She kept asking Kotb and Guthrie if it was a joke or prank that they planned with Fieri. To remove her doubts, the Guys Grocery Games star made a tweet with his clip from the show to assure her that he was serious about his offer.

Why Does Fieri Officiate Gay Weddings?

No one can deny that not only is Fieri an amazing chef; he is also a very kind person. In 2015, he put a smile on millions of people's faces when he officiated a total of 101 gay weddings.

He officiated the weddings to honor Morgan, his sister, who died from cancer.

Fieri felt that officiating those weddings would honor his sister's memory and draw a parallel between Pam Bondi, the Florida Attorney General who was famously anti-gay marriage, and the popular Disney villain, Cruella De Vil.

The mass wedding ceremony was beautiful, and Fieri was an amazing officiant. He brought all his famous professional chef friends to the event to work on various details, especially the beautiful, massive cake they made for the newly wedded couples.
