Shawn Mendes, 21, and Camila Cabello, 23, have been spending their quarantine in Miami, Florida with Cabello’s family.
During the last month, the pair has been spotted several times walking hand in hand.
Most recently, they were seen looking cozy while sitting on a swing near her family’s home.
For the Saturday outing, the ‘Real Friend’s singer looked ready for the beach in a swimsuit and black mesh dress. Mendes looked equally casual wearing nothing but a pair of shorts.
On April 18th, the two lovebirds appeared on the One World: Together At Home virtual concert. They sang and played a rendition of Louis Armstrong‘s ‘What a Wonderful World.’
During their performance, the couple sat side by side on a piano bench. Mendes played the instrument, while they both took turns singing. Mendes and Cabello were one of several stars who performed.
Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and even John Legend participated in an attempt to raise funds during the coronavirus pandemic.
Mendes and Cabello met back in 2014 when Cabello was still a member of Fifth Harmony. The girl group and Mendes performed during Austin Mahone’s tour.
In 2015, the pair dropped their song ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ which they wrote backstage during Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour.
After the song’s debut, rumors started circulating that the two were in a relationship. But neither confirmed.
That same year, Cabello was rumored to be dating Michael Clifford from Five Seconds of Summer.
And while Cabello and Mendes might’ve not been dating, they were definitely friends.
The pair were spotted together several times through the years, Cabello would even regularly attend the singer’s shows.
In 2019, they collaborated on the song ‘Senorita.’ Shortly after, the pair were spotted holding hands in California. They were even photographed kissing.
A source told Us Weekly, ‘They looked very into each other. Shawn and Camila were splitting pancakes.’
In August, Cabello confirmed their romance.
She shared a photo of herself and Mendes, writing ‘Happy birthday to this magic human, I love you!!!!.’
That same month, Mendes and Cabello took to the VMA stage with a steamy performance of their song ‘Seniorita.’
In November, Cabello revealed more to Rolling Stone about the couple and how they connected while writing, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’
‘…We were both really young, and he was experiencing the pressures of his career. I don’t think we knew what to do with those feelings. It was this awkward thing where we both liked each other, but we weren’t together. It was just weird,’ she said.
Cabello continued, ‘Our paths just didn’t cross in that way romantically until we started hanging out again and writing. For me, it just brought it back.’
