Quarantine measures have forced a host of different interesting situations coming out about some of the most famous faces in Hollywood, but Kaley Cuoco has decided to make light of hers in a new interview with Conan O’Brien.
It was here that the actress discussed how the “new normal” of social distancing and staying home have uniquely been affecting her and her husband, Karl Cook. During the interview, she even joked that her husband would be kicked out of the house as soon as the quarantine measures ended.
The star has confused fans in the past regarding her and Cook’s living arrangements, so this is not without precedence. The couple, who have been together for four years, have reportedly not lived together for the vast majority of that time.
Back in March, the construction on the couple’s home was finally completed and they were able to move in together, directly prior to quarantine measures reaching their apex. However, Cuoco joked to O’Brien that the living situation was still only temporary.
“He’s out,” the former ‘Big Bang Theory’ star joked during her live video interview with O’Brien.
“This is just for the quarantine. I don’t want to give the wrong impression here. This is just for right now,” she continued to say.
Beyond the jokes, Cuoco commented to O’Brien that she didn’t understand people’s fixation over the years on her and Cook being reluctant to move in with one another, especially because she claimed the situation worked so well for them for the duration.
“It’s worked great for us,” she went on to say. “Everyone has a million opinions about what we do, right? But they were very just, shocked we didn’t’ live together, but it’s been great.”
However, the jokes weren’t over as Cuoco added, “Now we just moved in together during the quarantine and I… I like him!”
Beyond the jokes, the actress said she is thoroughly enjoying the time with her husband, as well as taking full advantage of his amateur bartending skills.
“So, my favorite drink is an Old Fashioned, but Karl, he has created the ‘Karl Fashioned,’ which involves scotch. Get into my belly, scotch! It is so delightful, and we’ve had a lot of those,” she told O’Brien.
Despite the circumstances, it appears that Cuoco is making the best of her time off with her husband at home, “I’ve been living my life as if no one will ever see me again. Just the food and the hanging out. I’m not really doing my hair and makeup and… I’m just kind of living. Like, I feel like I’m never going back to work again,” she said.
