For Jennifer Garner, nothing is more important than her three children that she shares with her ex-husband Ben Affleck. The duo, who are strong believers in co-parenting their three children together have two daughters 14-year-old Violet Anne Affleck, 11-year-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, and one son, 8-year-old Samuel Garner Affleck. For now, while Garner is supportive of Ben Affleck’s closeness with actress and co-star Ana de Armas, she would prefer to introduce her kids to Armas at a later date.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were at an item for sixteen years and married for nine before they ended up calling it quits, though Garner is very vocal about the fact that it was not because he cheated on her because that never happened. The couple met when they were young on the set of ‘Pearl Harbor’ and were together for many, many happy years. Their love seemed deep, so the split took the world by surprise. That said, they have handled it admirably.
Despite the couple’s divorce, Affleck and Garner have continued to be extremely supportive of each other and their endeavors, be it movies or relationships. Till now though, Affleck’s relationships after Garner have been somewhat short-lived and we are not even talking about the nanny here. His relationships with model Shauna Sexton and Saturday Night Live’s Lindsay Shookus barely started before they ended, and even what he has with Armas seems intense but is still pretty new. And that may be the reason why Garner, allegedly, does not want to have the kids meet Armas.
Ben Affleck is reportedly supportive of this decision as well, while he may seem a bit besotted with his beautiful new flame, his kids come first and Affleck is nothing if a dedicated father. According to US Weekly, a close source has divulged this information about Garner’s hesitancy in letting the kids meet Armas, and Affleck is happy to let Garner take the lead. The idea is to let the relationship between Affleck and Armas last a while and be tangible before the kids are introduced into the equation.
Affleck and Garner are perfect examples of how parents need to behave with each other and the children, after a split. Too many divorces end up with children being the victims, leaving them scarred for life. Garner and Affleck believe that children need to be protected, and have often made sure that the public, as well as the press, have limited access to their kids. So if there is a delay in introducing the three to Ana, we are sure its a well-thought-out decision that even Armas may come to appreciate.
