Draya Michele absolutely made the most of the 84-degree heat yesterday. The 35-year-old reality star and Mint Swim founder had made headlines for eyeing up a forecasted 80 Fahrenheit in L.A. on Sunday – with the weather even hotter than predicted, the “Basketball Wives LA” alum wound up in her element as she took her bikini body to her home pool for some sunbathing.
There’s regular sunbathing, and then there’s celebrity sunbathing. Luxury floatie brand Funboy – liked by singer Miley Cyrus – featured as Draya updated her stories on Wednesday. Of course, the star’s 2011-founded Mint Swim brand was responsible for the teeny tiny bikini.
Draya’s 8 million followers definitely got an eyeful as the ex to Orlando Scandrick sat poolside and in selfie mode while showcasing her jaw-dropping body. The star had gone for stark white as she showcased her killer cleavage in a string bikini, with the close-up footage reminding fans that this Kylie Jenner-approved swimwear brand comes with a perfect ambassador.
Draya then switched to herself soaking up rays on a Funboy floatie – she also shouted out @fine-ssgirls, plus the Funboy brand.
Fresh in the news is Draya addressing COVID-19 – in particular, the pandemic putting a halt to her jet-setting ways. While Draya did travel to The Bahamas in February for a high-profile pool party that saw her shout out 42-year-old rapper Kanye West in an Instagram post, the travels have halted as the star social distances from her L.A. home.
“I need a nasty vacation after this virus,” Draya recently said on her Instagram stories “I mean NASTY.” “Pregnancy scare NASTY,” she added.
Draya saved up $12,000 to found her swimwear company back in 2011, then watching it grow to be valued at $1 million in 2017.
“I started with four styles of swimsuits and from there, things just grew via social media,” the star told Refinery29, adding that 27-year-old singer Selena Gomez was a fan: “I’m constantly designing and producing stuff, so when comes out, I’ll put it out. If Selena Gomez feels like wearing [our swimsuit], which has happened before, it’s going to sell out in probably 14 seconds. But I have the ability to make 3,000 more.”
Billionaire Kylie Jenner then featured Mint Swim during her 2019 Turks & Caicos vacation.
Draya’s social media has also been mentioning COVID-19 via her brand’s donations to local healthcare workers. The star personally delivered Chipotle burritos to a Los Angeles hospital this month, with Doordash “doubling” the order when they got wind of it.
Draya’s career now also sees her as an active social media influencer – particularly popular has been a Fashion Nova promo showing the star washing her floors with Lysol while “living out” her “very own Brazzers fantasy.”
