Erika Jayne believes that when it comes to being humiliated, that comes with the territory of appearing on a reality television program.

During an April 21 interview with the Daily Mail, Erika, who has starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since its sixth season in 2015, said that cast members have to learn how to roll with the punches because when it comes to opening one's life to the cameras, there are always going to be ups and downs, as well as some humiliation.

"You gotta roll with the punches," she advised.

According to Erika, she and her co-stars all "take a hit" on the show -- and that's part of the experience.

"When you sign up for one of these, you're gonna look good, you're gonna look bad. You’re gonna look like an a**hole. You're gonna be humiliated," she explained.

Throughout the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika and her cast mates were very open and vulnerable and while she's not usually one to shed a tear, she actually cried a few times during filming.

While some were worried about the show being lackluster after Lisa Vanderpump's exit last year, shocking rumors regarding Denise Richards' alleged affair with Brandi Glanville have taken over the series.

"The viewing audience is sophisticated as to what's going on," Erika admitted.

Erika then said she's unsure of where Denise stands when it comes to the rumors.

"I don’t know how Denise is really feeling and, you know, making the show and watching it back are two completely different experiences. It’s hard to explain that unless you’ve done it. I don’t know where her head space is ... honestly," she said.

When asked about what fans would be seeing from her as the show continues, Erika said her time on Broadway would be her main storyline.

"Chicago takes up a lot of my story because it was a big part of my life this year," she shared.

Looking back on the experience, Erika said she learned a lot.

"You learn a lot about your own endurance and your own physical discipline and mental discipline and I loved it. You know, even though you’re tired and you’re hurt and you ache, and you haven’t slept well, you still want to go to the theater. And there’s nothing like that experience - there just isn’t."
