Although “Star Wars” fans are still divided on Kathleen Kennedy’s contract extension, they have a new reason to celebrate.

Another cast member for the upcoming “Ahsoka” series has finally been revealed!

Fans were overjoyed when Hayden Christensenrecently revealed that he was coming back to join both Ewan McGregor’s “Kenobi” and “Ahsoka,” reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Although “Kenobi” is set to drop sometime in 2022, fans have not gotten many details on the “Ahsoka,” series, which will see Rosario Dawson reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano from season 2 of “The Mandalorian.”

Who Is Ahsoka Tano?

Ahsoka Tano was once Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan throughout “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” She also made an appearance in the animated cartoon “Star Wars: Rebels.” Having been voiced by actress and fashion designer Ashley Eckstein since 2008, Ahsoka never appeared on the big screen until 2020, when she was played by Dawson.

Although “The Mandalorian” himself, Din Djarin, played by “Game of Thrones” alum Pedro Pascal, wanted Ahsoka to adopt Grogu (Baby Yoda) and train him how to control his Force abilities, Ahsoka refused to train him, which led to Grogu eventually being taken in by a young Luke Skywalker during the season 2 season finale.

Who Is The Newest Cast Member Joining ‘Ahsoka’?

According to Variety, “Ahsoka” has finally found its Sabine Wren! Wren, who has only appeared on the animated “Star Wars: Rebels” cartoon, is a Mandalorian warrior who worked as part of the Ghost crew to fight back against the Empire.

Australian actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been selected to portray her on the silver screen. She made her debut in Netflix’s “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny” in 2016. She also appeared in Netflix’s “The Society” thriller in 2019.

Aside from Dawson, Bordizzo, and Christensen, no other cast members have been attached to the project, although fans have their fingers crossed that Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze, who is from a different Mandalorian tribe than Wren.

However, it is possible that Dawson may know more than she is letting on.

In an Instagram post, Dawson posted a photo of “Aladdin” live-action star Mena Massoud alongside Jedi Ezra Bridger and “The Killing” actor Lars Mikkelsen next to a picture of Grand Admiral Thrawn, writing, “Yassss the best news ever! I need my BIPOC representation in [Star Wars]. Can’t wait to see my BBs thrive in Ahsoka as my fav characters in the universe!”

Although their participation in the project has not yet been confirmed, fans have their fingers crossed that they'll get to see many more of their favorite animated heroes and villains finally make their jump into live-action.
