During a recent phone interview with The Daily Dish, the Real Houswives of Beverly Hills cast member, who married Thomas in January 1999, revealed the nickname she has for her husband before admitting that when it comes to the many legal questions she’s asked Thomas, she’s learned so much that she could potentially be able to pass the bar exam.
“Well, he’s in my phone as ‘The Boss.’ I don’t know what I’m in his phone as. Probably, you know, just my number,” Erika said of her husband’s nickname and his potential nickname for her.
“He’s ‘The Boss’, but he always has been. I mean, that’s who he is, you know?” she continued.
During last week’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 premiere, Thomas was seen offering some advice to Erika’s co-star, Denise Richards, who reportedly sent a cease and desist to a co-star after being accused of hooking up with Brandi Glanville.
While Erika doesn’t always know the answers to legal questions, she admitted that being married to Thomas has definitely had its perks.
“Being married to a lawyer, it’s great to have that legal mind at your disposal,” Erika said. “Hey, what does this mean? I have a question. I’m always asking questions. For 20 years now, no, are you kidding me? He loves the law more than anything, and the chance to explain it is, like, you know, all that he lives for. So, any time I call and have a law question, it’s always answered.”
Speaking of her own legal knowledge, Erika, who recently starred as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago, mentioned the idea of taking the bar before joking that Girardi and Girardi could be the name of her and her husband’s potential joint firm.
“At this point, yes. I feel like I could probably take the bar, for sure,” she said. “Maybe Erika Girardi ESQ. Why not? Why not continue the legacy? I mean… Girardi and Girardi. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.”
While Thomas is seen from time to time alongside his wife on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, he isn’t seen as much as some of the other husbands of the show due to his demanding work schedule, which often requires him to travel around the country.
