Jamie Lynn Spears‘ sense of humor was spot-on over the weekend. The 29-year-old singer, actress, and sister to pop princess Britney Spears took to her Instagram stories with photos she herself deemed to be unflattering – the “Zoey 101” alum had been snapped dragging out the garbage by husband Jamie Watson, with Jamie Lynn herself writing that she looked like she’s “110 years old.”
If you don’t live inside Jamie Lynn’s Instagram account, the tiny shorts look is a standard. Likewise, the low-key feel.
Jamie Lynn posted twice. Both images showed the new Netflix face rocking tiny dark gym shorts and a t-shirt, plus white crocks as she rolled a garbage container behind her – the front yard setting also showed a parked vehicle. Definitely looking less than camera-ready and with her blonde hair scrunched into a bun, Jamie Lynn appeared to have delivered husband Jamie with the perfect paparazzi photo.
“Good thing I can laugh at myself,” she wrote, adding: “My husband takes the most flattering pictures of me and actually post [sic] them.”
“I look like I’m 110 years old and have a 10 head,” Spears added, having crossed out “5” to replace it with “10.”
The decidedly unphotogenic feel from these snaps was, however, massively contrasted over Easter as Jamie Lynn blew Instagram away with stunning family photos. The killer legs were on show as Jamie Lynn stunned in a buttercup yellow mini dress, with 11-year-old daughter Maddie and 2-year-old youngest Ivey twinning in salmon pink dresses. The post currently sits at over 66,000 likes.
Jamie Lynn has, as many celebrities, been resorting to throwbacks amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The star updated her account two days ago with bathroom photos from Louisiana’s Aveda Institute, Hammond Campus. The stunning selfies showing Jamie Lynn rocking Daisy Dukes and darker hair gave a nod to her upcoming Netflix appearance – “Steel Magnolias” marks the mom of two’s return to acting.
“#FBF to when I went dark last year to play Noreen on #SWEETMAGNOLIAS coming to @netflix veryyy soon….???,” she captioned the shots.
Jamie Lynn turned 29 earlier this month, celebrating her birthday in quarantine – she’s also made headlines for donating food, wipes, and diapers, partnering up with Doordash, and thanking frontline workers with road chalk signs. Her birthday post shared a home video, plus some thoughts.
“I think 29 will be the year that teaches me to get back to the basics of life, and to never outgrow the simple things. I’m very fortunate, but I’ve always felt fortunate, even when I didn’t have a bedroom, because I’ve always felt loved, even when it was hard to love each other or when it was just plain hard for mom to pay the bills,” she wrote, adding:
“So let’s all try and love each other through these crappy times.”
