Julianne Hough revealed her emotions to fans over the weekend while taking part in a dance class on Instagram Live. The “America’s Got Talent” judge appeared to be crying during the class and wrote a message over top of the video about her mental state.
“Releasing all this stagnant energy built up from what’s going on personally and in the world…” Hough wrote. Later she added another note to a different clip, writing, “Welcome home to your own skin.”
There have been some rough moments for Hough this year as her marriage to husband Brooks Laich has reportedly had some struggles.
Currently, the two are not quarantining together — Laich is in Idaho with the couple’s dogs while Hough is in L.A.
“They are still together, but just not quarantined in the same place. Their relationship has always been like this, though — they like to do their own thing,” a source told PEOPLE last week.
“Their marriage is not perfect, but they continue to work on it,” the source added. “They speak all the time. Brooks is coming back to L.A. once the stay-home order is lifted.”
Hough posted a gallery of photos to Instagram earlier this month and opened up about her emotions.
“Feeling my internal fire raging with my deep and raw emotions this week…That combination has made for one wild ride,” she wrote. “There have been some super intense highs and then the pendulum must swing to the intense lows…Staying true to the path and gradually settling in. Giving myself permission to take the space and time to find my way back to the middle — The Space Between! #kreatingkinrgy.”
Their marriage hit a rough patch earlier this year and the couple reportedly spent some time apart.
“They have been spending time apart but are not ready to share what’s going on between them,” an insider told E! News in January. “They don’t even really know what to call it. There’s a ton of love and emotion there and they are going through something very personal. She’s been very private about this time in her life and is not making any kind of official announcement. She is honoring her work commitments, as is he, and it’s kept them apart. But things have definitely changed in their relationship.”
On his podcast last Month, Laich said that he wants to remain married.
“When I think of being married and being in my relationship, truthfully at my core, I don’t see any other life for me,” Laich revealed. “Like, that’s the life that I choose.”
