Rihanna's Difficult Childhood Makes It Impossible for Her to Ignore Injustice

Rihanna has proven time and again that she is all about success and will never stop craving it. The singer turned businesswoman is not only achieving success in her musical career, she is on her to becoming the owner of best beauty and fashion brand in history.

For months now, Rihanna has been releasing several make-up products from her “Fenty” collection and that is not the only hobby she picked up along the way. The 32-year-old is also a known and loved philanthropist with several amazing projects in progress and done with.

Did Rihanna have the best things of life as a child? Well no!

The singer spend her childhood in the city of Barbados and there was nothing easy or pleasant about her experiences. As a child who was raised by a Barbados born father and Guyana immigrant mother, Rihanna mentioned to Vogue Britain that she had to go through some difficulties because she was the child of an immigrant.

In her statement, Rihanna revealed that although her mother was on the Island legally, she still had to see people pulled forcefully out of their homes in the middle of the night.

The singer went on to say that she was never personally thrown out of her home because her parents were legal residents on the Island. However, could still feel the pain that the Guyanese people had to go through.

In a further explanation, Rihanna related the plight of the Guyanese people on the Caribbean Island to what the Latinos were experiencing in U.S.A

“That’s why I really relate and empathize with Mexican people or Latino people, who are discriminated against in America.” She said.

Not only did Rihanna capture the events associated with immigration in the US and Barbados, she also spoke on racism and discrimination in the interview. According to the makeup mogul, racism is alive in every part of the world with extremity in America.

“It is either blatant, which is becoming more and more of a norm or it’s underlying, where people don’t even know they’re being obvious about it. You know, it’s just a subconscious layer that’s embedded from their entire core.” She explained.

Finally, Rihanna shared an example of how rampant racism has eaten deep into the world. She revealed that on many occasions, she received questions from individuals asking why she ever thought of developing a make-up type for women with dark skin.

Rihanna’s wealth and success is borne from past experiences and the realization that a good future is still possible and this is why she is one of the most appreciated celebrities in the world.

Like Rihanna, many celebrities have spoken out against racism in every part of America.
