Two days ago, 36-year-old Memphis rapper, Young Dolph, unfortunately lost his life, due to a shooting, in his hometown. This occurred at a popular South Memphis establishment that he would frequently visit, Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies.

At the time, Dolph was said to have been purchasing cookies for this mother. Two men soon noticed his Corvette Stingray parked, and opened fire into the store, as they soon fled in a white Mercedes-Benz E Class.

Dolph Also Left An Impactful Legacy With Real Estate Investments

For Young Dolph, he was one of the most popular rappers in the industry, and was just as great of a family and business man. One filmmaker and author, Tim Jackson, recently took to his Instagram feed, to pay homage to the late Memphis rapper, and how great he was, in real estate investments.

Dolph was said to have owned over 100 Memphis properties, and also purchased foreclosures for his children, every year, for their birthdays.

"Damn! @youngdolph rarely rapped about his real estate portfolio but he owned over 100 properties in Memphis and he also purchased a foreclosure for his children every year for their birthdays. He told me this himself when we met. I admired this about him and even challenged him to rap more about this side of his hustle.

Dolph Frequently Supported Makeda's Cookies

Dolph also made sure to support Makeda's Cookies in every way he could. Over a week ago, the establishment posted a video of the rapper, purchasing some cookies, while he expressed how much he admired the products.

Currently, Makeda's is boarded up, as the business is also being presented as a memorial site. According to TMZ, there is no clear timetable for when they will fully reopen, but fans can support, by donating to their GoFundMe, here.

Makeda's employees are also said to be traumatized, by what they witnessed, on November 17. They are reportedly able to take as much time off as needed, and will continue to receive payroll funds.

Dolph Shooting Suspects Revealed

According to Memphis Police, still surveillance has since been released, of the two gunmen, who allegedly opened fire on Dolph and at Makeda's. They sported grey sweatpants and navy and black hoodies, hats, along with COVID-19 style masks. The firearms that they used, were reportedly a pistol and a Draco AK-47 pistol.

As of now, there still haven't been any arrests made. It's also unclear if the suspects displayed in surveillance photos, are still in Memphis, at the moment. There also hasn't been a motive revealed by Memphis Police either. Many suspect this horrific act was done, simply out of jealousy against Dolph, the amazing things he was doing, for his hometown, and his overall success, in the music industry.
