Believe it or not, there was a time when Blake Lively wasn’t married to Ryan Reynolds.
Before the two met and fell in love, Lively dated a few other Hollywood men. In fact, the actress was even in a long-term relationship with her ‘Gossip Girl’ co-star, Penn Badgley.
(Yes, Serena van der Woodsen and Dan Humphrey were a couple in real life.)

This onscreen couple turned into an off-screen couple while filming ‘Gossip Girls.’
The two were first linked in 2007, but both Badgley and Lively denied rumors because they thought they’d get into trouble at work.
‘I remember there was one point where we were just afraid of how our personal lives overlapping our work life could be perceived by our bosses,’ Lively said.
But then the couple realized everyone wanted them to be together in real life.
She continued, ‘They wanted us to all date. They wanted us to wear the same clothes that we’re wearing on the show. They wanted that because then it fed their whole narrative. People could buy into this world.’
Sadly, after about two years together they went their separate ways.
Gosling and Lively started casually dating in 2010, after they were seen eating ice cream at Disneyland together.
At the time, a source told E! News, the pair were spending time together but not exclusive.
‘They’ve been out a few times and are definitely into each other, but I don’t think it’s super serious or anything right now,’ the source said. ‘Yeah, they’re casually dating, but I could see it becoming more.’
But, unfortunately, it didn’t become more. Rumors of a relationship ended just as quickly as they began.
In 2011, Lively dated Leonardo DiCaprio at the peak of her show ‘Gossip Girl.’ The two had a short-lived summer romance, but it was well documented, thanks to their celebrity status.
During their relationship, the couple traveled everywhere; Italy, New York, and Australia, to name a few locations.
However, they split up during the fall of 2011.
A couple of years ago, the executive producer of ‘Gossip Girl,’ Joshua Safran, spoke to Vanity Fair about the show and Lively’s relationship with DiCaprio.
‘When I think about shooting the L.A. episodes, Blake was dating [DiCaprio] at the time, and she had this thing where she had a doll that she took photos of that she sent to Leo. Blake was way ahead of the curve. It was pre-Instagram. She was documenting her life in photographs in a way that people were not yet doing,’ Safran said.
Reynolds and Lively met in 2010 on the set of ‘Green Lantern.’ But they didn’t start dating right away.
At the time, Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson and Lively was dating Badgley.
But in October 2011, shortly after Lively and DiCaprio split up, she and Reynolds started dating. A source told People, ‘They’re really happy together.’
In September 2012, the two married in a surprise wedding in South Carolina.
In 2014, the couple announced they were expecting. Two years later, Lively gave birth to their second child. Last year, the pair welcomed their third child.
