"She can’t make bad music," Lawrence said while also detailing her reaction. "I’ve since reflected on my behavior with Ariana Grande. I went full radio contest winner. "

The Academy Award-winning actress admitted to feeling "excited and nervous" at the time.

She continued, "At one point, I just kind of walked into her hotel room and sat down. I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately. There were all of these trunks for her hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Do you live here?'”

A True Fan

This is not the first time Lawrence gushed over the "Voice" coach. In 2017, she praised Grande’s “spot-f--king-on” impression of her.

In a "Saturday Night Live" episode, the "7 Rings" hitmaker poked fun at Lawrence's relatable nature saying, “They told me not to do a game show, but I was like, ‘Screw it, I can have fun, I’m a regular person.'”

In a past interview with Vogue, the "Red Sparrow" star agreed to the spoof but noted that she's never described herself as a regular person.

“That’s what other people have said,” Lawrence explained. “If I’d said, ‘I’m a regular person,’ I’d want to kill myself.”

Voicing Her Opinion

Lawrence also discussed the impact of media, saying, “The entire media experience is how we digest information. What was crazy about shooting this film about climate change and then COVID happened. Some people don’t want to hear the truth because it’s terrifying. The escapism of celebrities and the distraction is more fun, and tearing down other people is better than looking at yourself while you’re watching Tucker Carlson."

Set Mishaps

Lawrence portrayed an astronomer Kate Dibiasky in Netflix's "Don't Look Up." In playing the part, she explained she wanted Kate to be the "fierce" type of person who's a "'notice me, hear me roar, rat-tat-tat' kind of lady." Hence, she added an edgy aesthetic to the female astronomer's look -- wearing a red wig with blunt bangs and a fake nose ring.

But not everything went as planned as the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress revealed that the faux piercing proved to be quite the hassle and a choking hazard.

"And the nose rings...one just kind of hangs in; one is a magnet. And many, many times I accidentally inhaled said magnet and had to spit it out in front of Leonardo DiCaprio," Lawrence told Vanity Fair.

While just being her usual self, Lawrence also joked about working with a three-time Oscar winner.

“Yeah, I mean, Meryl Streep was our last choice,” she said. “Unfortunately, so many other actresses passed, and we ended up with Meryl Streep.”
