Draya Michele got honest in her Wednesday Instagram stories. The 35-year-old reality star and Mint Swim founder is one to watch when it comes to tips on getting merch to shift online – founded with the $12,000 the “Basketball Wives LA” alum saved up in 2011, the brand grew to a $1 million one in 2017, then finding itself cherry-picked by Kylie Jenner for her 2019 travels.
Draya chose an especially revealing and jazzed-up two-piece for today’s sunbathing session. She also proved relatable as she spoke to her 8 million followers – despite wearing a small, the bikini was a little on the big side.
Draya’s stories kicked off with the star catching some major rays. The ex to Orlando Scandrick was looking sensational, seen flaunting her killer curves and rock-hard abs as she lay poolside and on a pink towel. The black, halterneck bikini being donned did wonders for Draya’s fierce cleavage and curvy hips, also proving ritzy via silver glitter panels around the strappy waistline and bust.
Draya swung the camera up and down, taking it all in, then appeared in selfie mode and shot from the chest up as she spoke from behind shades.
“Just a little disclaimer about this bikini that I’m wearing,” Draya began.
“Um, yes it’s very cute, but we have it marked on the site as it runs big. Because it does actually run a little big. I’m wearing a small,” Draya added, then saying:
“And, it’s a little roomy. So, if you are extra small, or a small small, it really isn’t the bathing suit for you.”
Promote her merch on Instagram she might, but Draya and her Mint Swim brand have been giving back.
Draya made headlines earlier this month as her attempts to donate Doordash meals amid the COVID-19 pandemic went very wrong – failed deliveries and no reply on the phone saw the star embark on a giant rant.
Mint Swim did, however, successfully manage to deliver Chipotle meals yesterday with Doordash.
“I was going back and forth about things I can do to help out the healthcare and hospital staff. Thankfully, when I asked chipotle for help bringing lunch to the hospital staff nearby… THEY WERE TOTALLY DOWN!!! Then, @doordash caught wind of what we were doing and decided to hop in last minute and DOUBLE THE ORDER … so many burritos ? ? ..” Draya began.
“Just a small token of appreciation to the medical staff giving their all during this on behalf of my brand @mintswimusa … thank you to everyone out their doing their part in this and keeping in mind that we are in this together. ??#covid19 #stayhome #unitedwestand,” Draya added.
Coronavirus also appears to have inspired Draya’s Instagram promos for Fashion Nova. Washing floors with Lysol and wearing rubber gloves last month saw Draya admit she was “living out” her “very own Brazzers fantasy.”
