Britney Spears Bailed On Paris Hilton's Wedding, She Wasn't Emotionally Ready

Britney Spears was a no-show at Paris Hilton's star-studded wedding, but not because she wasn't invited, she just wasn't ready emotionally.

According to reports, the hotel heiress extended an exclusive invite to Spears and hoped she would join the other A-listers for the 3-day long event. As you know, the two have been tight since growing up in the celebrity scene back in the 2000s.

The 'Toxic' singer apparently passed on the invite, simply because she wasn't emotionally ready for such a huge event. "She’s emotional. She needs some time to get used to her new way of living. She is adjusting to her new existence," a source told Page Six. It makes sense, considering Britney just scored a huge legal victory in the case to end her 13-year conservatorship -- and, the pop princess hasn't been hitting the Hollywood scene the past few years.

Plus, Spears might have wanted to skip portions of the massive wedding, because it was being filmed for Paris' upcoming television show 'Paris In Love.' Unfortunately, she missed the opportunity to catch up with other huge stars and old friends like Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, and Nicole Richie.

As you know, Paris has been a huge supporter of Britney Spears throughout the battle to have the conservatorship terminated. Hilton tweeted to Spears in the minutes following her huge court victory, saying, "I’m so happy that this day has finally come. This moment is so long overdue, [Britney] is finally free! You’re the most resilient, kind, and inspiring soul. We all love you so so much! Your best days are yet to come!"

Interestingly, Paris' name bubbled up during Britney's conservatorship hearing, while the pop princess was testified about the abuses in her situation. "The Paris Hilton story on what they did to her at that school. I didn’t believe any of that either — I’m sorry. I’m an outsider," she said. Adding, "And maybe I’m wrong, and that’s why I didn’t want to say any of this to anybody to the public. People would make fun of me or laugh at me and say, ‘She’s lying, she’s got everything, she’s Britney Spears."

As we reported, Britney teased a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where she says she is going to expose all of the "abuses" within her conservatorship and family. It's possible Britney is wanting to get her first interview out of the way before hitting a major scene like Paris Hilton's wedding.

"I might as well do a hint of my thoughts on the gram before I go and set things square on Oprah ????‍♀️ !!!!! I mean who knows … I do know how embarrassing is to share the fact I’ve never seen cash or wasn’t able to drive my car …. but honestly, it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me !!!! I’m used to keeping the peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut … but not this time … I have NOT FORGOTTEN," Britney said on IG. 

Either way, we are guessing Britney Spears sent a really NICE wedding gift!
