Gigi Hadid‘s Easter snaps landed on her Instagram right on time this year – one downside did manifest, though, as the 24-year-old supermodel seemed forced to resort to throwbacks amid the coronavirus pandemic. The older sister to Bella Hadid nonetheless delivered a photo-heavy batch of sexy bunny snaps on Sunday, with over 280,000 likes left in one hour suggesting they were more than well-received.
Gigi has largely stayed out of the news amid COVID-19. While 23-year-old Bella has bravely bared her burrito in a topless shot to encourage social distancing, Gigi has proven more low-key over on her Instagram.
Gigi’s photos dated back to 2018, with the model appearing to have cherry-picked just the right set of snaps for the Easter weekend. Alongside an opening shot of the beauty seated bedside and holding a coffee cup as she hid her face behind a gold bunny head mask, Gigi was seen snacking on Chinese takeout and holding chopsticks as she flaunted her long legs in a no-pants look.
The LOVE magazine shoot also included edgy and arsty shots of Gigi seated on a rug floor and wearing bunny ears, plus an image of the star rocking a semi-sheer bodysuit as she gazed into the distance – again, a pair of bunny ears here gave a nod to the annual festival.
Gigi had mentioned her social distancing situation in her caption.
“Back to 2018 when @kegrand @mikaeljansson predicted a very quarantined Easter for @thelovemagazine ??☕️?,” she wrote.
The update proved a hit amid the model’s 52.3 million followers, also bringing in an impressive celebrity presence in its first hour. Likes came in from 28-year-old supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, “Sports Illustrated” model Olivia Culpo, actress Ashley Tisdale, plus Miley Cyrus’ older sister Brandi.
“Wow v precisely,” wrote Taiwanese-American designer Alexander Wang.
“Omg,” one fan wrote.
“U r beautiful” was another comment.
Gigi comes as one of the modeling world’s biggest burger lovers. Having chowed down on one during her 2017 appearance with Jimmy Fallon, Gigi also comes complete with recommendations for the best joints.
“I got to go back to L.A. for the Tom Ford show this past fashion week, and as a California kid, I will always have a huge place in my heart for In-N-Out’s Double-Double Animal Style. But since you and I always talk NYC burgers, I just tried Hall on West 20th Street. It’s the cutest little place. First come, first served. Simple but great burger and fries. And you get a yuzu lemonade with the lunch special—all for $12!” she said in 2020 when the TV host asked for the model’s favorite burger.
The above interview seeing Gigi interviewed by famous faces including Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Louis Vuitton menswear director Virgil Abloh also saw the model asked for her foodie take on an arts and crafts festival, were she to host one. Virgil asked, and Gigi answered.
“Haha—love! (a) Cake decorating with Duff’s Cakemix; bouquet-making with Popupflorist; body molds with Misha Japanwala; glassblowing class with Charged Glassworks; pasta art with Saltyseattle; ceramics with Forest Ceramic Co.; poetry with Cleo Wade,” Gigi said, adding:
“Rice Krispies Treats art with Misterkrisp; and bread art with Konel Bread. And (b) French baguette; Dutch Gouda; Prairie Breeze cheddar; Brie; truffle honey, quince paste, or fig spread; tomato-mozzarella-basil skewers; meat paired with cheese (I’d ask a cheese expert at a shop—my favorite is Murray’s Cheese in New York); and Castelvetrano olives.”
