Jessica Simpson was literally up at the crack of dawn on Sunday. The 39-year-old singer, actress, clothing designer, and “Open Book” author updated her Instagram on Sunday with a mention that her Easter-themed photo was taken at 5.30 a.m. – the “Dukes of Hazzard” star may well have been prepping for three kids Maxwell, Ace, and baby Birdie.
Jessica’s photo opted out of bombshell mode – in fact, it was very much “mom” mode – although the bombshell territory was recently revisited as the star shared a 2003 Rolling Stone cover throwback seeing her in undies and with a Swiffer. Today was all about Easter, though. It was also showing off the 100 pounds Jessica lost after welcoming baby Birdie in March 2019.
Jessica’s photo showed her home and backed by a dresser with open drawers and a feminine floral wall display. The mom of three was posing in a bunny position with her hands in front of her, seen casually dressed in a tie-dye sweatshirt with matching pants – Jessica took less than 60 minutes to have fans eyeing up the clothing.
Seen with a face mask on and a hair tie, Jessica posed barefoot, also shooting the camera a direct gaze,
“5.30am bunny prep,” she wrote.
Jessica’s post proved a hit in little time, racking up over 19,000 likes in just 45 minutes. The bulk of comments wished the star and her family a Happy Easter, although remarks did come in over the stylish wardrobe – this fashion queen may rock $4,000 Fendi trench coats, but her athleisurewear looks are just as popular.
“Where did you get that cute tie-dye outfit?” one fan asked.
“Where are your sweats from?” another added.
Celebrity likes were quick to come in, with the first 45 minutes seeing likes left from “Mad Men” actress January Jones, plus Britney Spears’ 29-year-old sister Jamie Lynn.
Jessica tipped the scales at 240 pounds with her baby weight, then shedding 100 pounds in just six months. Her trainer, Harley Pasternak told Hollywood Life:
“She would eat one whole egg and three egg whites for breakfast, scrambled with a bowl of blackberries. For lunch she would have a salad with grilled chicken and grilled fish with salad and vegetables for dinner. As for snacks, she would have almonds and sometimes green beans with Parmesan cheese on top. She was very disciplined.”
Jessica has made headlines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, both for social distancing with her family and, it would seem, for enjoying some profits. Sales of the star’s “Open Book” memoir are through the roof as millions lead new lives from home – the book chronicling Jessica’s childhood sexual abuse, resulting alcohol and pills addiction, relationships, and career ranked eighth on NPD BookScan recently.
Also selling well is singer Carrie Underwood’s “Find Your Path” book.
Jessica has 5.3 million Instagram followers. Her account is followed by celebrities including Nicki Minaj, Gabrielle Union, Gwen Stefani, and rising country face Kelsea Ballerini.
