Jamie Lynn Spears rocked her trademark, teeny-tiny shorts on Friday to share what was ultimately an uplifting video amid hard times. The 29-year-old sister to pop princess Britney Spears has been spending her quarantine time with her family – youngest daughter Ivey just turned 2 – with Easter Friday seeing the “Zoey 101” alum get back to her roots. Quite literally, that is.
Jamie’s Instagram video featured 11-year-old daughter Maddie, 2014-married husband Jamie Watson, plus some religious-themed music – “I GOT SO HIGH THAT I SAW JESUS” from Miley Cyrus’ 20-year-old sister Noah was playing.
Jamie Lynn’s video (seen below) came as a low-frills affair. It showed the new Netflix face geo-tagging herself at “Old MacDonald’s Farm” and getting down and dirty in a cleared soil area as she and her family planted seeds. A tractor in the background confirmed the farm setting, with the footage itself sped up to show progress as the threesome did their planting – the camera then showed the seedlings in the soil. Spears appeared simply dressed in a gray t-shirt and a tiny pair of black shorts flaunting her super-shapely legs.
A caption from Jamie Lynn looked forward with hope, also mentioning Easter.
Alongside racking up over 98,000 views in a day, the video brought in a big response over in the comments section.
“So inspirational,” one user wrote.
“Something we both have in common Jamie! I’m literally a control freak too. Sending you much love Jamie! Hope your weekend goes well, my sister through Christ Jesus. Bless you!❤️??,” another wrote.
A Tennessee native brought out some state pride.
“Love seeing this, I’m starting to see ppl putting out more gardens this year here in east Tennessee. I’m a tomato grower but I raise around 20,000 plants a year. You all gotta try these Tennessee maters ?,” they wrote, with another writing: “Ain’t no place like home.”
Jamie Lynn has been immensely active amid the coronavirus pandemic. It was Jamie who first tagged 38-year-old sister Britney in the #DoYourPart challenge as the “Toxic” singer made headlines for offering to pay for diapers and food – “DM me,” Britney said. Jamie Lynn has also partnered up with Doordash to hand out free meals.
Particularly appreciated – and even getting thanks from a healthcare worker – was Jamie Lynn sharing road chalk signs made by her kids on April 1. The messages of thanks to frontline workers were also recognized by grocery store workers.
Jamie Lynn’s birthday was earlier this month, with the star turning one year older while in quarantine. A simple home video seeing the blonde appreciate the basic things came captioned with her thoughts, also seeing her call COVID-19 “crappy times.”
“I think 29 will be the year that teaches me to get back to the basics of life, and to never outgrow the simple things. I’m very fortunate, but I’ve always felt fortunate, even when I didn’t have a bedroom, because I’ve always felt loved, even when it was hard to love eachother or when it was just plain hard for mom to pay the bills. So let’s all try and love eachother through these crappy times,” she wrote.
