On Friday, Lili Reinhart revealed her puppy, Milo, was brutally attacked by another dog and is now in an animal hospital.
The 23-year-old actress shared the news in a series of Instagram videos.
‘So, this is weird for me and I’m not exactly sure why I’m doing it, but, I guess, for all the people out there who care about my little dog, Milo,’ Reinhart began.
The ‘Riverdale’ star was visibly shaken up as she described what happened to her new pooch.
‘I was taking him out today to get some exercise. But, um, he was attacked by another dog,’ she tearfully told her 22.8 million followers. ‘I had to rush him to the animal hospital and he is there now getting surgery.’
She continued, ‘He has a pretty deep wound on his neck. God, it was a very horrifying experience.’
In the videos, Reinhart made sure her fans knew she was wearing a mask and gloves while walking her sweet pup.
‘I’ll keep you guys updated on how he’s doing. Keep him in your thoughts, guys,’ Reinhart ensured her followers.
Reinhart has expressed her love for Milo ever since she rescued the dog back in February.
On February 19th, the actress introduced the world to her new pup with the caption: ‘This is my new baby. He has quickly become a great love of mine. Meet Milo ❤️ my rescue sweetheart from @fureverfreed.’
On March 29th, Reinhart shared another photo of her and Milo with the caption: ‘Quarantine family portrait.’
Since revealing the news, Reinhart’s fans have sent positive comments wishing the best outcome for Milo.
Reinhart’s best known for portraying Better Cooper on ‘Riverdale.’ But before she landed the role, she was a regular girl trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood.
The Ohio-native told W Magazine, ‘My mom would drive me from Cleveland to New York City and use my dad’s hotel points for auditions. They were the most supportive parents that I could have. Without them, I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. My mom would take off work to take me to auditions, because they believed in me, which is a very big leap of faith.’
She appeared in an episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ and starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in the 2016 movie ‘Miss Stevens.’
At 18-years-old, Reinhart moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. However, she was miserable and struggled with her mental health.
‘Honestly, it made my depression skyrocket to the point where, after five months of living there, I had to go home because not only was it affecting my mental health, it was really affecting my physical health as well. I was physically ill from how depressed I was, which is insane how the body can do that,’ she admitted while speaking to Coveteur Magazine.
She ended up going back home to save money before returning to Los Angeles. A month after she moved back to LA, she landed the role in ‘Riverdale.’
