Kelsea Ballerini‘s weekend kick-off landed on her Instagram right on time today. The 26-year-old country singer’s Friday update came ahead of the Easter weekend, with Kelsea appearing in the mood to soak up the sun, strip down to some swimwear, and share it all for her 2.1 million Instagram followers.
Having gained 100,000 followers since her appearance on last weekend’s ACM “Our Country Presents,” Kelsea has been making headlines for keeping her social media relevant amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Today was another reminder from Kelsea that a little sunshine can do wonders.
Kelsea’s photo was a selfie, showing her solo and sun-drenched as she caught some rays on a balcony. The “homecoming queen?” singer seemed right at home as she lay on a multi-color towel, seen stretching her arm out to allow her smartphone camera to take her in full length.
A teeny tiny white bikini with a string finish was doing wonders for the Tennessee native’s killer body, with her glowing tan accentuating her slim frame and cleavage. Kelsea shot the camera a gaze as she shaded her face with one hand, also seen near a copy of “The Sun And Her Flowers.”
“iiiiii wanna soak up the sunnnnn wanna tell everyoneeee to stay at homeeee ☀️?,” she captioned the photo.
Keep scrolling for it. Today’s post follows one of the singer delivering an epic home workout as she busted out push-ups – with a major food addition. Kelsea was using the lowered body positioning to skillfully dip mouth-held chips into a jar of Lay’s ranch dip – clearly, fans had spotted it as they commented to today’s snap.
“Even after yesterday’s chip and dip number… she a hottieeee??,” Kelsea was told.
“Catch some extra sun rays for me cause it’s cold and overcast in Ohio ?,” one fan wrote.
Kelsea recently made headlines both for singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” as she sat in ripped jeans on her floor and – more recently – for taking to Instagram to address coronavirus and those facing times she called “unchartered.”
“Whatever you’re feeling is ok.
if you find this time to be a blank canvas to reset and rediscover your priorities and even yourself. that’s ok.
if you find this time to be triggering. of anxiety, of fearing the unknown, of pain, of loss. that’s ok,” she began, adding:
“If you’re resting. that’s ok.
if you’re working even harder. that’s ok.
if you’re putting on clothes and doing your makeup every day. that’s ok.
if you’ve been in the same pajamas for several days straight. that’s ok.”
Kelsea’s third “kelsea” studio album was released in March, with the singer quickly landing herself a Rolling Stone feature – the magazine dubbed the record the “ideal” partner during social distancing.
Meanwhile, the star’s Instagram has been both promoting the music and acknowledging fans’ difficulties – Kelsea’s videos have largely proven low-key as she social distances, with the star having delivered a cookie dough bed-snacking one as she asked Amazon Alexa to play her music.
Today’s post quickly brought in a like from 22-year-old reality star Savannah Chrisley, whose father Todd recently revealed he was hospitalized with coronavirus.
