Megan Thee Stallion has hit back at claims that she’s feuding with fellow rapper Cardi B.
The rapper, who is riding high off the success of her new single “Savage,” declared that she had no issues with Cardi when a fan account had suggested that there was bad blood between the two.
Megan made it clear in her response that she’s not interested in feuding with anyone in the industry while making it known that there are no issues with her and the “Bodak Yellow” star.
‘I did not like no damn stupid a comment like this. I don’t even upload my own s* to my YouTube my label does,’ Megan hit back in response to talk of beef with Cardi B.
‘I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ANYBODY. I don’t like drama I do not bring other females down stop trying to start fake beef.’
The fan account had made the assumption based on a comment Megan was said to have liked on her official YouTube page – which she strongly denied.
The account had liked a comment, which said: ‘She won my respect… paying homage to the GOAT means a lot. Pac would be proud. She exceeded Cardi, HANDS DOOOOWN.’
This isn’t the first time that the 25-year-old rapper from Houston, Texas has found herself shutting down rumors concerning a supposed feud between her and another female rapper.
Before collaborating with Nicki Minaj on their hit single “Hot Girl Summer,” fans were under the impression that the female MCs didn’t like one another because they hadn’t worked together, which Megan described as ‘absurd’ at the time.
Though, that she doesn’t seem to have issues with anyone in the music industry aside from her 1501 label boss Carl Crawford, who reportedly refused to release the rapper’s new music after she requested to have her contract renegotiated.
After signing a management deal with Roc Nation, Megan became aware that she was tied to an agreement with terms that were highly unfavorable to her – especially now that she’s become one of the biggest rap stars in the world.
While Megan may have been earning millions of dollars, her deal would see an unusually large amount handed to 1501, as per the contract she’d signed.
While the label initially attempted to block her from the release of her latest EP “Sugar,” a judge granted the release of the project amid Megan filing for a restraining order against her 1501 in early March.
And following the release of two EPs, Megan is expected to release her highly anticipated debut album later this year.
