She’s been very vocal regarding the coronavirus pandemic, and now Cardi B has revealed she was recently hospitalized with severe stomach pains.
According to the 27-year-old, she had been dealing with “stomach problems” for four days before she went to see a doctor, fearing that she may have contracted the deadly virus.
On April 2, Cardi took to her official Twitter account where she posted a since-deleted photo, along with a caption, sharing that she was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after fall ill.
‘Honestly, cause I been having some real bad stomach problems for four days, I went to the ER last night,’ the “I Like It” chart-topper wrote, along with a sad emoji face.
She did, however, assure her fans that she was “feeling way better, Hopefully, tomorrow I will feel no more pain.”
And while Cardi B didn’t share any further details regarding her diagnosis, it’s not believed that her illness was caused by the coronavirus – at least from what’s been gathered so far.
Since the global crisis erupted last month, Cardi has shared her thoughts on the health crisis other social media platforms, telling fans last week how much she missed being able to eat at her favorite restaurant.
‘Like I shouldn’t be eating cereal – like I should be in a restaurant eating sushi. Like, why are we going through this? I don’t understand it,’ the mother-of-one quipped while munching down her cereal in an Instagram Live session last week.
She further stressed her frustration in regards to celebrities who have been able to get tested for the coronavirus even though they hadn’t shown any symptoms before performing the diagnosis.
Many were quick to assume Cardi was throwing shade towards the likes of Tom Hanks and Idris Elba, who had both tested positive for coronavirus but neither showed any signs that they could have contracted the disease.
‘If number 45 is getting on a podium saying: “Hey, listen if you do not have any symptoms of the coronavirus” which is coughing, fever and whatsoever etc, etc ‘do not get tested because we don’t have enough tests to test everybody,”‘ Cardi ranted.
‘But if a celebrity is saying: ‘Hey, listen I don’t have no symptoms, I’m feeling good, I feel healthy, I don’t feel like nothing, but I went and got tested and I’m positive for the coronavirus,” that cause confusion.’
The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker is said to be isolating with her husband Offset and their two-year-old daughter Kulture, and as hard as it’s been for Cardi, she’s trying to make the most out of the time while the US government continues locking down states to halt the rapid spread of the coronavirus.
Cardi B recently announced that production for her sophomore album has been put on hold amid the pandemic.
