Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's engagement has been a source of public speculation ever since their union was announced. Although initially hinting that they weren't in a rush to tie the knot just yet, rumors came to surface that the couple was going to make it happen sooner rather than later. Now, given the societal circumstances globally due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple is being forced to put yet another hold on their wedding plans and hunker down with family at home.

On Tuesday, the 50 year old pop sensation appeared virtually on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to further discuss her life in quarantine, as well as touch base on the marriage rumors that have followed her and Rodriguez for some time now.

"It did affect it a little bit. We will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates of anything like that," Lopez told DeGeneres candidly about the delay to her nuptuals.

"We’re kinda of just in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. Again, it’s just something we’re going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out," she continued to say.

The mother of four then went on to explain that aside from pushing her wedding plans back, she has had her hands full having her children home with her all the time, and that the adjustment to home school has been a big one for the kids.

"I help with the homework. All four kids are doing virtual school right now and so I stay more on top of Emme and Max about that. … Honestly, I think we’re all like, 'What is this?' I’m not a teacher," the pop star explained.

"And also, have you seen the math that they make the kids do now? It’s a new math… It’s crazy. And so half the time I’m like, 'OK. Yeah let’s look up that word. What does that mean?' It’s been an experience for sure," she continued to say

Aside from their schoolwork, Lopez makes sure to take time and engage with her children in activities they enjoy, such as making Tik Tok videos.

"The kids are always trying to get us on TikTok. I love TikTok because you know I love to dance just like you. But they’re always trying to get Alex to do all these TikToks… He’s a good sport," she told DeGeneres.

On a more serious note, Lopez concluded with, "It’s a terrible time for all of us, a weird time, a scary time, anxious time. We don’t know what’s going to happen, but having a reconnection with the family and Alex, and not having to run around so much is kinda nice too. So [we’re] making the best of it."
