Like many people throughout the world, the coronavirus pandemic has put a strain on day-to-day life. For those who are lucky to remain unscathed by the virus health-wise, there still may be certain aspects of life that have been affected by the virus and the stay-at-home orders which accompany it. For singer Jennifer Lopez, the global health pandemic has affected her upcoming wedding to baseball pro-Alex Rodriguez just like many other prospective brides throughout the globe. But will the celeb pair need to put a pin in the whole thing?

Jennifer Lopez chatted recently with comedian Ellen DeGeneres on the new at-home edition of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and opened up about how her wedding has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Lopez shared with DeGeneres saying, “It did affect it a little bit, so, we will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don't know what's going to happen now as far as dates or anything like that. We're just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. So, again, it's something we're just going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out."

DeGeneres suggested to the ‘Hustlers’ star having a TikTok wedding after J.Lo has been putting out great TikTok content since joining the social app. You may have seen the video of J.Lo and Rodriguez switching outfits as part of the “Flip the Switch” challenge using Drake’s song, ‘Nonstop.’ The clip went viral and eventually led to many other celebs making their own “Flip the Switch” clips. Lopez laughed at the suggestion by DeGeneres and replied, “Do a TikTok wedding? It’s something to think about. I can’t make any commitments right now.”

Lopez and Rodriguez have been dating for a few years now, officially becoming engaged as of March 2019. While the virus may have put a pin in their wedding plans, for now, it doesn’t seem to be stopping the two from getting married altogether. Lopez shared with Oprah Winfrey on her ‘2020 Vision Tour’ recently that she isn’t in a rush to get married. She said, “It’s so funny because when we first got engaged, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re going to get married in a couple of months,’ [My] old thinking comes right back, like all that hopeless romantic that made me get married three times.”

But then Lopez admitted, “I said, ‘If we’re going to be together for the rest of our lives, what is the rush?’ If that's what we're really going to do, if we're really going to be partners.” While Lopez and Rodriguez both have been married previously, Lopez understands that there is something different about her partnership with the former athlete. She explained to Oprah, “It was different than anything I had ever experienced in the sense of his consistency. Like what he says he does every time. And he also wants to build together, which I’ve never had. I’ve never had somebody who wants to see me shine and grow and be.”
