For many years now, people have described the term ‘black-fishing’ as a situation whereby people use make-up products to alter their skins, so they can look like a different race. In this situation, Bhabie is being accused of using makeup to look like a black woman which she isn’t.

After the negative comments from fans who were not going down with her new look, the 17-year-old rapper clapped back at the trolls, saying that she had no idea what they were getting at.

The teenager shared several videos showing her in a full-on glam make-up, false lashes, straight black hair and worse of all, tanned skin. This attracted a lot of comments and soon, began to accuse her of black-fishing.

One person commented; “So we black-fishing now? SMH.”

Another comment from a fan went this; “Damn what kinda filter you using?? That’s a whole different ethnicity.”

Another comment from a fan noted that the make-up and hair, made the “Gucci Flip Flops” rapper look very different.

Although the videos where shared by the young rapper on Instagram, some fans took to Twitter, to share their opinions. While some fans came for her with hair words, others duly noted that it was wrong for the rapper to be trying to tan her skin to look like a black woman.

Another fan went as far as calling her out for trying to look black, but has never brought herself to speak about black black culture and the racial injustice they go through every time.

With all these comments on Twitter and Instagram, Bhabie did not seem bothered by them, and she referenced that in a post by saying; “Awww I’m trending.”

She also mentioned that there are a lot of issues going on in the world right now, including people dying from the pandemic, but people are coming for her because she put on make-up for a photo shoot.

“I’m usually the wild one, but y’all need to chill and focus on what’s important right now.” She said.
