Taylor Lautner Proposes To Longtime Girlfriend, See The Actor's Dating History

Former "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner recently took to his Instagram page to announce his engagement to his girlfriend of three years, Dome Tay.

"And just like that, all of my wishes came true," he captioned photos from the romantic proposal and added he proposed on "11.11.2021."

The picture featured Lautner in a suit and on bended knees to his fiancée, Dome, who, on the other hand, was barefoot and awash with shock. The proposal took place at a fireplace with a neon red "Lautner" inscription hanging under thousands of dozen roses. He proposed to Dome with a custom-cut diamond set done by Ring Concierge.

"Cannot wait to spend forever with you @taydome," the actor continued in part. "You love me unconditionally. You don't put up with my (followed by a poo emoji.) You calm me when I'm anxious. You make me laugh way too much. You make every single day spent with you so special. And most importantly, you make me a better person. I can't thank you enough for what you've brought to my life; I love you forever," he concluded.

On his Instagram Story, Lautner also shared an image of Dome kissing his cheek. In the picture, she raised a glass of vino which featured the glistening new rock on her finger. "Thank you, @ringconcierge, for helping me create my dream for this girl," the actor wrote and concluded with a ring emoji.

Per an Instagram post, the duo met through Lautner's sister, Makena Moore. Although It's not clear when they started dating, the first post on her Instagram was made in 2018 when they both wore matching Halloween costumes.

Lautner celebrated on social media for her birthday and described her as "the most amazing soul I've ever had the honor of knowing." "I strive to be more like you every day. This will be your best year yet, and I can't wait to experience it with you. Love, boy Tay," he wrote during that time.

Makena also wrote an engagement post to congratulate them; she mentioned introducing them when she met Dome. "Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm feeling tooty; think I picked out a good one for my brother," the caption stated. Dome commented with a ton of crying and white heart emojis on the post. Lautner also commented as well in all caps stating, "You did good, kid."

Makena continued her caption by saying that she met Dome in a small Nashville church, but she didn't mention where that was. She admitted they "couldn't be more perfect for each other" and that Dome doubled as a best friend and a sister.

Before his public romance with Dome, Lautner had previous relationships with Lily Collins and Billie Lourd. He and Taylor Swift also hit it off after they met on the set of "Valentine's Day." However, they broke up in 2009, and the songstress wrote a song, "Back in December," detailing their breakup.

He later went on to date Collins after they co-starred in the movie "Abduction." Their romance was pretty brief, as they broke up before the premiere of the movie in 2011.

After his split from Colins, he met Lourd on "Scream Queens." They started dating shortly before Lourd's mom, Carrie Fisher, passed and the demise of her grandma, Debbie Reynolds, in December 2017.

They eventually broke up seven months after.

Lautner rose to the spotlight when he appeared in the Twilight series as werewolf Jacob. His role as a werewolf accrued a lot of fans for him. However, recently, this once popular hero has been missing in action and not seen on the silver screen anymore.

According to him, he has decided to take up minor roles. His last notable feature was in the "Jumanji" reboot movie in a side role. He also had a minor role in the "Scream Queen" movie.

Lautner revealed to Good Morning America that he felt restricted after the "Twilight" series and wanted to explore new horizons and gain experience.

Per her Instagram bio, Dome is a registered nurse. In a nursing Q&A on her YouTube channel, she stated that she works three 12-hour shifts in a week at her hospital.

Aside from that, Dome is an influencer with about 200,000 followers on Instagram and over 9,000 subscribers on YouTube. Her content includes lifestyle and personal content. Some of her partnerships involve FLO vitamins, Too Faced Cosmetics, Revive SuperFoods, and Lull mattresses.

She is also a dog mom. She opened an Instagram account for her two dogs — Remi and Lily — whom Laurent stated would be the flower girls at his upcoming wedding.
