Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez never made a formal announcement about when their wedding would be, but it seems like the coronavirus may have gotten in the way of their plans. In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, JLo said that while the virus had impacted their wedding, they weren't sure what it would mean for their eventual nuptials.

“It did affect it a little bit. We will see what happens now," JLo said in the interview, clearly uncertain about what the future holds.

Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates or anything like that,” Lopez continued. “We’re just kinda of just in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. Again, it’s something we’re just going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out.”

A-Rod proposed last March while the couple was on a romantic beach vacation together. DeGeneres had her own ideas about how they could adapt the ceremony to these new circumstances.

“If the TikToks are extremely popular that you’re putting out there, if the two of you got married in your house and you posted it on Instagram, this would just be the first wedding. You’d have a big one with people and all that later,” the host said.

“A TikTok wedding?” JLo asked in response, before laughing and saying that it was "something to think about." While TikTok may not be the appropriate venue, the virus may mean they have to put many of their plans on hold.

JLo, who has been in a number of TikToks with A-Rod, said that her kids were the ones always trying to get the couple to go on the platform.

“I love TikTok because you know I love to dance just like you. But they’re always trying to get Alex to do all these TikToks," she said. Lopez also said that, in general, the former baseball player was been a "good sport" as the kids ask him to take part in their videos.

Lopez continued by explaining what the family's home life is like now. “I help with the homework. All four kids are doing virtual school right now and so I stay more on top of Emme and Max about that,” Lopez said.

“Honestly, I think we’re all like, ‘What is this?’ I’m not a teacher. And also, have you seen the math that they make the kids do now? It’s a new math… It’s crazy,” she said. “And so half the time I’m like, ‘OK. Yeah let’s look up that word. What does that mean?’ It’s been an experience for sure.”
