On the most recent episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen seemingly confirmed what Kandi Burruss teased to fans last week, that the Season 12 reunion of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' would be held virutally to comply with social distancing guidelines amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initial decision by the network was just to outright postpone the highly anticipated episode until social distancing was no longer in place, but Cohen explained that the choice to just go about it virtually superceded the will to postpone it.

"We are going to be shooting the Housewives of Atlanta Reunion virtually," the host confirmed on his hit radio show 'Andy Cohen Live,' "This is obviously not how we prefer to do it, but life is not how we prefer it right now."

Cohen explained that although he truly enjoys visiting the eclectic cast members in Atlanta to shoot the episode, it would be unwise to do so and be in direct disobedience of the social distancing guidelines placed by world health groups.

"We want to be in the same room, but we cannot risk the health and safety of the Housewives or the incredible crew in Georgia," Cohen said of the situation.

"[RHOA] is regarded by many as the Super Bowl of reunion shows, and it is truly one of my favorite reunions to shoot, I look forward to it, and the fact of the matter is it’s either we do it this way or there’s no Super Bowl this year," he continued.

Cohen then explained that waiting to shoot really wasn't an option, "If we wait for this pandemic to be over for when we all are in the same room, it’s gonna delay everything," the host explained.

"We need to move forward, we need to live in reality right now, and the reality is if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this right now," he said, elaborating on why the decision was made to live stream a video chat reunion.

'RHOA' star NeNe Leakes is still reportedly very prepared for the reunion special despite the changed circumstances, explaining to People, "I’m going to be beat from head to toe while I do it, sitting there with a full face, wig, dress, high heels this tall, looking fabulous, and tearing the house down."

“I’m going to get these girls and do it very good and walk right on out and sleep just fine. Is my money in my account? Thank you. The queen is here, you can never wear the crown. They’re all wearing tiaras," she concluded.
