According to a statement issued by the couple to Entertainment Tonight, they have settled on the name 'Archewell'. "Our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be," the official statement began.

Prince Harry and Meghan went on to explain that the stem 'arche' has applicability to not only the mission they're hoping to accomplish, but also the name of their 10-month-old son, Archie.

"Before Sussex Royal, came the idea of 'Arche' -- the Greek word meaning 'source of action.' We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name," the official statement continued.

"To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."

The Brand's Scope Covers a Wide Variety of Entertainment and Published Material

According to a trademark request by the outlet, 'Archewell' has vast applicability and scope, covering 'printed educational and training materials, magazines, electronic books, and audiobooks,' as well as, 'motion picture films… podcasts, audiovisual entertainment, television shows, digital entertainment content, and informational programming' among many other varieties of media and business endeavors.

It was also noted that the scope of the trademark is strictly associated with legal and protective rights and not entirely what the charitable organization is trying to cover in its endeavors.

And while the former royal couple has announced the name of their new charitable brand, it by no means signals the beginning of their operations. Due to their busy schedule over the last several months, Prince Harry and Meghan are taking a bit of a break to regain their bearings.

The couple also is postponing the brand's launch due to the nature of the coronavirus pandemic which is currently wreaking havoc throughout the world. They believe it's important for people to focus on combatting the virus at this time.
