Amy Schumer got married in February 2018, about a year after she started dating her husband, Chris Fischer. The couple wed inside a rented Malibu house on February 13th, after sending their guests invitations via text.

An insider revealed, ‘Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening from a text Amy sent.' The texts reportedly read, 'Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.'

Even though the wedding was thrown together last-minute, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Anniston, and David Spade were all in attendance.

Schumer took to Instagram to share a series of photos from her special day, with the caption: ‘Yup.’

Fischer and Schumer kept their romance low-key and away from the public eye. It wasn’t until November 2017 the pair were seen together enjoying dinner in New York.

In February 2018, Schumer posted the first photo of the couple for Ellen DeGeneres’s 60th birthday.

Her caption read, ‘Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us.'

A few days after she posted this photo, she and Fischer were married.

But how did Schumer meet her husband of over two years? In a surprisingly normal way!

Fischer is the brother of Schumer’s personal assistant. The two met in 2016 when Schumer went on a trip with the family to Martha’s Vineyard. They hit it off and started dating shortly after.

'It was a perfect time. I was feeling really great about myself. I met him when we were done filming. I felt really empowered and I loved myself,' Schumer said during an interview with CNN.

'I was ready to love somebody. Now I'm doing press, and it's really nice to have somebody in my corner supporting me.'

Unlike Schumer, Fischer isn’t a celebrity. He’s a chef.

Fischer, 40, and his family are from Martha’s Vineyard. His grandfather bought Beetlebung Farm in 1961.

For a time, Fischer moved to New York and worked at Mario Batali. He eventually went back to Martha’s Vineyard and started growing food on Beetlebung Farm and cooking it.

Fischer wrote 'The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook,' which highlighted his farm to table cooking experience.

In Schumer’s Netflix special 'Amy Schumer Growing' she revealed Fischer is on the autism spectrum.

In October, Schumer announced she was expecting.

Throughout her pregnancy, Schumer detailed her experience with extreme motion sickness. In fact, a week after her pregnancy announcement, the actress was hospitalized with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness.

Schumer shared her struggle on Instagram with the caption:

'The last few days have been tough. I’m grateful as hell and know it’s temporary but tough just the same. Please if you don’t mind. Post pics of your kids and tag me #amyschumer My friends sending me pics and vids of their kids is making me feel so much better. Much love, accepting dog photos too.’

In 2019, the comedian and Fischer welcomed their first child.
