Halle Berry Claps Back At Trolls Attacking Video of Her Son

Since becoming common practice to exercise social distancing in the United States, everyone, including the rich and famous, have been doing what they can to keep occupied while being confined to their homes.

Actress Halle Berry is one of such famous figures whos been candidly sharing aspects of her quarantine life to fans through social media. However after sharing one specific video, Berry then took some time to clap back at fans in the comment section that were criticizing her young son for playing "dress up" wearing his mother's heeled boots.

On March 24, Berry shared the clip to Instagram which showcased her 6 year old son, Maceo, climbing up the stairs wearing a set of pajamas as well as a pair of his mother's white high heel boots.

The clip, which was captioned "#Quarantine Day 12," racked up almost 50,000 likes. some fans decided to take the post as an instance to criticize Berry's son and her parenting of him, suggesting that allowing the young boy to wear women's footwear was not a good choice.

"I hope that's the daughter," one concerned fan commented under the Instagram video.

"That's how it starts," chimed in another in agreement with the previous commenter. Others added comments such as, "My son never played in heels."

The negative responses to the video prompted Berry to issue a singular response to all the critics, saying, "Harmless fun. Tryna survive right now. You feel me?"

When another user wrote, "she's having the time of her life lol," Berry clapped back with, "Well it’s a he and he is having a ball. Tryna cope the best he can. Laughter helps a lot right now !"

"It’s tight on these kids right now," the actress continued to say in another comment under the video, adding "Let’s have a laugh and some compassion."

It wasn't all negativity under the post though, as some fans took the video as an instance to compliment Berry and her son for doing what they can to have fun in these trying times.

"That all dressed up and no where to go MOOD," a fan posted, to which Berry responded, "Oh he got some place he tryna go, but his mama won’t let him !"

While speaking on Today last year, Berry explained how important it is to her to have her kids grow up "normally," saying, "I’ve fought really hard to protect their privacy, and I just want them to have their life and have it be theirs."

"I just don’t want to plaster them all over the internet. That just doesn’t feel right for me. They’re gonna do that soon enough. That’s gonna be their life when they grow up, and they will choose when that starts," the actress concluded.
