Angela Simmons is doing what every other celebrity around is – staying home and posting nostalgic throwbacks. The 32-year-old daughter to rapper Rev Run updated her Instagram on Sunday night with photos dating back to her December 2019 Bali trip – the “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star made headlines for jetting out to the Indonesian island last year, with the Dhair Boutique brand mentioned in those snaps re-appearing last night.
Angela is currently in quarantine. A TikTok dance in underpants currently sits at over 1 million views on her Instagram. Her weekend bikini update has also been racking up the likes.
Angela posted two photos. Both showed the star flaunting her curves on a wood-floored and bamboo-adorned deck with wicker seating in the backdrop – Angela was taking up the foreground, though. Seen posing in a super-tiny and pink string bikini with a revealing neckline, the brunette showcased her fit figure, also rocking a white shawl around her shoulders, plus a glittery necklace bearing her “A” initial.
Statement shades, blue bead jewelry, and cascading curls completed the look.
“Missing Bali ♥️ what a trip !!! Just looking back … ?Great vibes there ♥️ #BNB #builtnotbought #NaturallyCurvy hair vibes @dhairboutique,” Simmons captioned her shots.
Angela comes with an army of followers, and her update brought in plenty of likes as it clocked over 151,000 of them in 14 hours. Over 2,300 comments were left.
“The pastor’s daughter is looking GOOD,” one fan wrote.
“Look hot girl own it, body built not bought,” another said.
“YESSSSS TO THE BEAUTIFUL NATURAL BODY” was another comment, with a fourth user simply writing: “Damn Ange.”
A celebrity like also came in from actress, mom, and former “America’s Got Talent” judge Gabrielle Union.
Angela has her own brand – the star launched her feminine-strong Purpose app earlier this year, although she continues her partnership with Dhair boutique of Dallas. The brand has been going strong since earlier this decade, with Angela having put her name to a DHair SEA Collection of hair extensions back in 2015.
“It’s really important to keep it protected of course and not over-use the heat on your edges. Also changing your hair styles – getting braids/cornrows or changing the part in your weave so you are not constantly having wear and tear on the same area. But most importantly conditioning and making sure you have the right products,” she told Textured Styling about caring for your natural hair.
Angela rakes in earnings via her partner status with affordable clothing giant Fashion Nova – the star has 6.5 million Instagram followers. 2020 also brought fans the Purpose App, which connects women with a platform to share both their voices and their lives.
“Real Women – Real Stories … I am Angela Simmons … I grew up in Queens , Ny … I gained my confidence through truly loving myself no matter what. I learned the true meaning of love when I stopped putting up with BS others bring to the table. Ok is not ok for my life! I want incredible!! So I’m going to get it !,” Angela wrote to announce the launch.
