Every time that Meghan Markle gives an interview, particularly such a high-profile one like the one that she recently gave to Ellen DeGeneres, you have to think stomachs at Buckingham Palace drop to the floor. They’re already dealing with Queen Elizabeth‘s health issues across the pond. It’s in this precise moment that Meghan thinks it’s a great idea to show up for the biggest interview she’s had since the entire Oprah ordeal.
Even though we just painted a gloomy scene, this time around it seems like Markle isn’t focusing her efforts on throwing shade at the Royals. From what we’ve been able to see in the preview and gather from insider information Meghan’s interview was light-hearted, no drama, no throwing shade at the royals. Instead, she and Ellen took a stroll down memory lane to her acting days.
What Ellen & Markle Talked About
As we mentioned the interview was literally a stroll down memory lane for Markle. Ellen remarked that although Meghan had never been on the show this wasn’t her first time in that studio lot. That sparked an entire conversation about Meghan Markle’s auditioning days.
Meghan recalled that although her experiences within the auditions themselves were not always great the people around the area were always nice to her. Dropping by to be the main guest on Ellen was actually a whole new experience for the still Duchess of Sussex. She recalled,
“I would park at gate three, and then I would scoot on over, and what was so nice is the security guards would always say, ‘Break a leg, we hope you get it!’” she then added. “So to drive in today was very different.”
Meghan Markle Shared Stories About Her Rough Life Trying To Make It In Hollywood
Although she left behind quite a few full-time “assistants” when she left the Royal Family, Meghan still does pretty well for herself these days. As she herself mentioned, driving into the Ellen lot to do the show was way different from her experiences back in the day. That may have something to do with the fact that she’s probably driving around a recent model car these days. Markle shared a story about having to go on auditions on her old Fold Explorer. An aspiring actress having to pay those types of gas prices, that didn’t seem like a good long-term plan.
“I had this very, very old Ford Explorer Sport, and at a certain point the key stopped working on the driver’s side, so you couldn’t get yourself in through the door.” She also remarked that the car had a “mind of its own”.
Did She Really Not Talk About The Royals At All?
There are no references to the Royal Family in the preview of the show that was shared by The Ellen Show’s official accounts. Folks in the know have also not leaked any information regarding a potential new bombshell against The Royal Family. What insiders are saying is that Meghan was incredibly nice and down to earth with everyone that she met behind the scenes. Those remarks seem like they come more from Meghan’s PR team than the genuine Ellen Show crew. We’ll have to wait until Thursday to see the full extent of the interview to grasp what really went down.
