4 Awesome Things That Happened This Week to Make You Smile During Coronapocalypse

The coronapocalypse is in full effect. Most people have been stuck at home, practicing social distancing for at least a couple of weeks now. Some people have been home for three weeks or even more. The news about the pandemic keeps getting grimmer, and it can be hard to find things to smile about.

That's why we're putting together this weekly list of awesome things that happened in the past week - to remind you that good things are happening in the world.

So, here's four awesome things that happened last week to make you smile.

In case you didn't know, Dwayne Johnson has an adorable daughter and he's an absolutely amazing dad. And just like all the other amazing dads out there, he's teaching his daughter about how to properly wash her hands.

Johnson taught his daughter how to wash for 20 seconds by singing a verse of his "Moana" hit, "You're Welcome." He even changed one of the lines to “coronavirus has gotta go.”

He posted a video of their "ritual" on his Instagram and it's probably the cutest thing you'll see this week.

Pink Donates $1 Million to Crisis Relief Fund After Recovering From Coronavirus

Pop singer, Pink revealed last week that she and her son had both tested positive for Covid-19, the disease that happens as a result of being infected with coronavirus.

Pink said, "This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities."

She then announced that she would be donating $1 million to help the people on the front lines - healthcare workers.

NYC Landlord Tells Tenants Not to Worry About April's Rent

Many people have lost their jobs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. While they wait for unemployment benefits and their government stimulus checks, many have been left wondering how they'll pay rent.

200 tenants in New York City don't have to worry about April's rent anymore. Landlord Mario Salerno decided to waive rent for the month of April for all of his tenants.

Salerno said, "For me, it was more important for people's health and worrying about who could put food on whose table. I say don't worry about paying me, worry about your neighbor and worry about your family."

John Krasinski Launches Good News YouTube

John Krasinski, best known as Jim Halpert from "The Office" and the director and star of "A Quiet Place," gave the world a true gift this week. He started a YouTube Channel focused solely on good news. Krasinski thought that everyone could use a little cheering up these days, so he started the channel to bring heartwarming stories to the forefront.

In his first episode, Krasinski was joined by Steve Carrell - aka Michael Scott - and they discussed the 15 year anniversary of "The Office." Krasinski also spoke to a cancer survivor whose story went viral over the weekend.

If you need some cheering up at any given time, definitely check out Krasinski's show.

Remember that even if it seems like everything sucks right now, that's not true. The world is still a good place and we'll make it through together.
