What a week (or two) it's been for Lady Gaga!

Most recently, Jimmy Fallon excitedly teased a "big announcement" the pop star was set to make on the at-home edition of his "Tonight Show" - but it seems Gaga was k-kinda busy.

"I can't talk right now, Jimmy" Gaga said via FaceTime, "I can't talk right now. It's um - I'm sorry, it's just a really weird time. I'm doing - I'm...hello? Am I on TV?!"

No, it was not one of her theatrical antics. But yes, her announcement is rescheduled for Monday night...supposedly.

You're not gonna reach her telephone!

After the awkward encounter, Fallon made a second try at getting the news out of Gaga but was quickly interrupted.

"Hey, guys," she shouted to an assistant as another phone was heard ringing in the background. "Can you push that other call back two minutes, please?"

After a third attempt by Fallon, Gaga provided a final shutdown.

"I can't tell you everything right now because I'm still ironing out the details, and I have a lot of phone calls to make."

The other line sounded off again in between the speech stammers.

Although they did finally plan to talk two days later (on Friday, April 3rd), and she did inform Fallon that "it's for COVID-19," we're not sure how they landed on Friday when it's being reported that the big reveal is now set for tomorrow, April 6th.

Maybe, at this point, it's not Fallon-related at all (although their last conversation claimed a rescheduling). Maybe it's about her album artwork that was leaked ahead of schedule.

To be v honest, the whole thing is just a mess.

"Chromatica" a "No"-matica

Gaga's sixth studio album Chromatica was scheduled to drop this week. Unfortunately (yet understandably), the "Stupid Love" singer made "the incredibly tough decision to postpone" the highly-anticipated project. As STEREOGUM put it, following the projects's delay, "she used a placeholder album cover in lieu of the real thing."

"Some wires must have gotten crossed since then, though, because over the weekend the official cover leaked through a Czech Republic online music store and, briefly, Gaga’s official website."

It was around 5p Eastern on April 5th when Gaga made her own, official reveal of the artwork via social media.

On top of Chromatica being pushed back, Gaga said she also had to cancel "so many fun things planned for us to celebrate together."

"As you may have also heard, MGM sadly had to postpone my Vegas shows from April 30-May 11 due to guidelines about public gatherings from the CDC," her March 24th statement continued. "I had a secret Coachella set lined up, and a lot of other fun surprises, some of which I'm still planning to share with all of you very soon!"

Since "Fallon" definitely wasn't what she meant by "soon," let's certainly hope Monday is!
