The long-awaited sequel to the 2020 Netflix hit “Tiger King” is finally here and fans have been waiting to see if the sequel is anywhere near as absurd as the first installment.
The show’s second season, which consists of only five episodes, begins with Joe Exotic requesting a pardon from then-President Donald Trump. Exotic has since turned to celebrities like Cardi B to help plead his case.
The sophomore season also focuses on the mysterious disappearance of Carole Baskin’s first husband, Don Lewis. In a Reddit AMA held earlier this week, Baskin offered her take on what happened to him, and it has many fans calling “bollocks” on her explanation.
Although the controversial Netflix sequel probably won’t give fans any more definitive answers, it still proves to be an entertaining and wild ride – at least for some.

Although some fans remember the supporting cast of characters, most people remember the ongoing feud between Exotic and Baskin.
“I’m watching the first episode of Tiger King season 2 and I don’t remember anyone except for Joe and Carol lmao,” one fan said.
“I told myself I wasn’t going to watch season 2 of Tiger King, but here we are,” said one fan.
“I thought tiger king 1 was crazy but tiger king 2 definitely shocked me,” another wrote.
Another fan tweeted, “10 minutes in and Tiger King 2 already has me laughing.”
“Tiger King 2 has footage of an attorney general working on his Elvis impression,” a fan noted. “Is it a rule that everyone, no matter how professional, must look as ridiculous as possible?”
One fan joked, “3 minutes into tiger king 2 and my life has already changed for the better.”
Another said, “I am literally 5 minutes into Tiger King 2 and I’m already shook.”
“The footage of the free Joe exotic idiots at the f—ing capital riot being harassed by a QAnon Karen is *chefs kiss*,” said another. “#TigerKing season 2 so far even more absurd and I’m here for it.”

Although some fans loved the new season, other were less than impressed.
“The Tiger King 2 is absolute pony,” another tweeted. “It’s got me wondering if the first one was actually any good or was it the fact we was all banged up in lockdown we was going off our rocker.”
“That Tiger King 2 is a hot a–ed litigious mess,” one fan tweeted. “It’s like Derek & The Dominoes’ Layla Piano Exit in Goodfellas. My head is spinning.”
“I just turned on Tiger King 2 and one of the first discussions they had is how even though Joe is in jail for trying to kill Carol, all the hate and backlash is towards her,” one wrote.
One fan lamented that there was “no new information” in the sequel, although another was quick to comment, “There are 3 more episodes, which are being filmed at the moment. New updates coming from Joes legal team!”
“The best part […] and there are not many, is how much it makes you despise the ‘main characters,’” a fan shared. “A thoroughly detestable bunch of people whose egos are megalomaniacal and, you could argue, should be treated in the same manner as the animals they ‘took care of.’”
Another user wrote, “It is exactly as terrible and cringey as I expected. Almost all of these people are awful. This was a mistake.”
The full season is now available to stream on Netflix. At this time, it looks like there are no plans for a third installment.
