No one knows where the challenge came from but Tom Holland, famed for his role as Spiderman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared his experience and success in multiple posts on TikTok.

After the clip was shared to the 'Tom Holland Updates' Instagram page, fans expressed their gratitude. 'Really needed me some shirtless Tom Holland today,' one person wrote.

Apparently, it's much harder to put on a shirt while holding a handstand position than Holland anticipated. But after succeeding at his attempts he passed on the challenge to both Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Gyllenhaal who made his debut to MCU last July as Mysterio in 'Spider-Man: Far from Home' accepted the challenge with confusion and a bit of jest toward Tom Holland.

'Wait. @tomholland2013 What's the challenge??? Shirtless heavy breathing??' Gyllenhaal teased in his response to his younger 'Spider-Man' co-star.

While Holland ended his session in heavy breathing, Jake Gyllenhaal kills the challenge and flawlessly pulls the shirt over his head which instantly goes viral. Jake Gyllenhaal accepted the challenge and became the standing victor.

Fans love it but noted that they would rather see his actions in reverse. MTV even retweeted Gyllenhaal's video with a caption that read "Sorry I'm late to our Zoom meeting, I was watching Jake Gyllenhaal put on a shirt while in a handstand."

"What is Jake Gyllenhaal doing and how do we make sure he never stops?" one person said while retweeting the video. While yet another replies, "Now we want him to take it off."

Though MCU fans expected a #shirtlesssunday as the Avengers went through the challenge one by one, Ryan Reynolds had a completely different response to the summons.

Though the caption from his fan page read, "Challenge accepted," Ryan Reynolds was not shirtless or upside down in his response. In his IG stories, a confused Ryan Reynolds just responded with "no." However, he does go on to post videos of stuntman Alex Kyshkovych and other fans completing the challenge.

Now being called the 'Impossible Challenge', after dominating Jake Gyllenhaal has nominated his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, 50 Cent, and fellow MCU star Hugh Jackman, though they have yet to accept the challenge the world awaits.

Unfortunately, the 'Impossible Challenge' has yet to catch on, but others connected to Tom Holland are now completing the challenge including his friend the English actor, Harrison Ostefield, who played Snowden on George Clooney's 'Catch-22' and a few very fit fans. It seems as if everyone has learned from Holland's mistakes.

Maybe with time, Reynolds will also accept the 'Impossible Challenge', though he is known for his dry humor he has also pushed some kinesthetic boundaries. Hopefully, we will get to see him and some other Marvel heroes take the challenge a bit more seriously.
