Floyd Mayweather has had a rough couple of months in his personal life—and it seems it’s not getting any better for the champion boxer.
On Saturday morning, reports of an attack involving the boxer’s 19-year-old daughter, Iyanna “YaYa” Mayweather was reported.
According to TMZ, Houston’s Harris County police responded to a call at rapper NBA YoungBoy’s home around 1:30 AM. Mayweather allegedly arrived at the rapper’s home and attacked the victim, Lapattra Jacobs under the guise she was his fiancée.
Jacobs apparently defied Mayweather’s orders to leave and followed with instructing her to the do the same. When Mayweather refused to leave, a confrontation ensued between the two.
The argument moved through several rooms before ending in the kitchen where Mayweather was said to have been holding two knives.
According to sources, Jacobs stepped towards Mayweather prompting her to charge at her with one of the knives. Jacobs stated she didn’t feel the first knife wound initially—but then said Mayweather charged at her again—stabbing her for a second time.
Mayweather claims the fight began after Jacobs started the attack by pulling her hair outside before moving the disagreement inside of the house.
Entertainment Tonight reported Jacobs suffered multiple lacerations to her arm—and was transported to the hospital by EMT’s for non-threatening injuries. The victim has been reported to have underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
Youngboy commented on the incident via Twitter where he tweeted, “Hold it down for your love one’s up in heaven and they will do the same I’m very blessed and protected if you ask me,” he wrote.
Reports state Jacobs and Youngboy share one of his four children together. However, this incident is not the first time Mayweather has been accused of attacking someone the rapper was involved with.
The couple has had a longstanding on again—off again relationship that has involved a lot of public back and forth between the two.
In February 2020, The Shade Room posted a video clip of the boxer’s daughter in a physical confrontation with another woman the rapper was involved with at a Dallas hotel the rapper was staying at.
Mayweather was arrested at a residence for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Saturday morning, and taken to Houston’s Harris County jail. At the time she was apprehended, Mayweather told Harris County police she had never met Jacobs prior to the attack.
She was later released on a $30,000 bond.
The incident occurred just weeks after the 19-year-old’s father received news the mother of three of his children had been found dead in car—and his uncle and longtime trainer, Roger Mayweather had passed.
