Last Friday, Selena Gomez joined Miley Cyrus during the finale episode of Miley’s Instagram Live show, 'Bright Minded'.

The Disney Channel stars talked about everything, from the coronavirus pandemic to mental health issues.

During the episode, the ‘Lose You To Love Me’ singer bravely revealed she was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

‘I went to one of the best mental hospitals...McLean Hospital and I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things, I realized that I was bipolar," Gomez told Cyrus.

She continued, ‘I just feel like when I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it just took the fear away.’

Both Gomez and Cyrus got their start on Disney. Gomez starred in ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ while Cyrus played Hannah Montanna. The two grew up in the spotlight and have both admitted to struggling with anxiety and depression because of their fame.

Throughout their career, the ladies have been the face of several rumors. At one time, there were reports the two were feuding over their friendship with Demi Lovato. There were also reports the two were at odds because they both liked Nick Jonas.

While both Gomez and Cyrus dated the youngest JoBro, the two have denied rumors of friction.

‘We never feuded. We both liked the same guy when we were 16. It was just a Hilary Duff - Lindsay Lohan thing: 'Oh my god! We like the same boy!' We are now completely settled in our own lives,’ Gomez said in 2016.

The 27-year-olds couldn’t have appeared more friendly during the interview, proving there's no bad blood.

The first thing Gomez said to Miley was, ‘I've always been a fan. I think you are one of the greatest singers ever.’

Miley went on to ask the singer how she’s been spending her self isolation. Gomez said she’s been writing a lot in order to connect with people.

"I had gone to treatment a few times for anxiety and for depression and for other stuff that I've been struggling with. When I do meetings and stuff, a lot of it is connecting with people that maybe you haven't been the greatest to or that you may not have thought about, so I feel like there's been a lot of people that I've gotten to do that with," Gomez said.

She continued, "Not necessarily saying it was bad, but just saying, 'Hey, I hope you're safe. I hope you're doing OK and that you know that on my side I'm only sending you love.' I just want them to know that I see them, so I think that's kind of something that I've been doing."

Gomez also revealed she’s made a donation to LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. That hospital is where the ‘Rare’ singer discovered she had lupus and needed a kidney transplant.

And Gomez isn’t the only celebrity who’s made recent donations. Dolly Parton, Shawn Mendes, Rihanna, Ricky Martin, and many more have donated money to hospitals and healthcare workers as they treat patients with the coronavirus.
