There's a saying that goes, "The dose makes the poison". Few people embody the true meaning of that phrase as well as Mike Tyson. The former world heavyweight champ is perhaps as well known for his victories in the ring as he is for his poor judgment in his personal life. Tyson recently mentioned though that it was actually a "trip" on psychedelic toad that potentially helped him get on a better path in life; away from harder drugs like cocaine and heavy drinking. Iron Mike credits the out-of-body experience that he had while tripping on the toad to a ton of positive things that have happened in his life. The New York Post caught up with Mike Tyson at "Wonderland". An event that is precisely dedicated to psychedelics. Essentially the perfect place to hear this kind of story. By the way, Mike was also at the event due to his entrepreneurship ventures. We'll get to that in a bit though! Tyson described that he did "the toad" as a dare. At the time he was going hard with drugs. Essentially he was looking for something to take him to another level. For the most part, it could be argued it worked. The former champion described his life at the time saying,

“I was doing heavy drugs like cocaine, so why not? It’s another dimension. Before I did the toad, I was a wreck. The toughest opponent I ever faced was myself. I had low self-esteem. People with big egos often have low self-esteem. We use our ego to subsidize that. "

For the record, this isn't exactly something that we're promoting. That being said, as Tyson mentioned himself the positive changes that he's made to his life as of late are undeniable. Mike really does credit this positive wave to the effects of his trip. He admits that he's not exactly sure what happened to him. As things have balanced themselves out his experience has certainly been a positive one. Tyson mentioned,

"People see the difference [in me], It speaks for itself. If you knew me in 1989 you knew a different person. My mind isn’t sophisticated enough to fathom what happened, but life has improved. The toad’s whole purpose is to reach your highest potential. I look at the world differently. We’re all the same. Everything is love.”

Mike Tyson is now running a couple of cannabis product lines. One of them hints at containing certain elements that are produced by the famous hypnotoad. In reality though the product cannot legally contain toad venom. Tyson is now one of the loudest voices calling for the legalization of these elements. He's so into the toad that he essentially runs a breathing ground in his ranch in California. We're not sure if that's entirely legal at this point. Speaking of legality though, Iron Mike is pushing hard for it saying,

“I’m fighting for psychedelics to become medicine you can buy over the counter,” he went on to add, “I’m not finished. I want to do more. I want to be the best I can be in this field.”
