On Thursday, the Zac Efron sat down with Sean Evans for a round of Hot Ones and talked about his experience starring in High School Musical and even having breakfast with Leonardo DiCaprio.

During a segment called "Explain That ‘Gram" Efron explained a photo of him sitting next to Leonardo DiCaprio during a basketball game:

"He was like, ‘Hey, man, do you want to, like, go get breakfast tomorrow?' And I was like, ‘Yeah, dude,'" he said. "So…he wrote his phone number down and handed it to me while the other team was scoring and nobody saw. And he cooked me breakfast the day at his house. He cooked—he actually, he cooked waffles and then he burned those and then we made pancakes. It was awesome."

Efron went on to reveal that he received some valuable advice from the Titanic actor during their breakfast together:

"I had a billion questions for him," he said. "And, like, sitting next to Leo, I was just, like, ‘Dude, how have you handled this for so long?' And he was like, ‘Frankly, you're getting it a little bit different…Don't worry about it, man. You're good.'"

He then added, “That's the biggest hand you can extend, I feel like, in Hollywood, is looking out for somebody younger. So, rock on, Leo. Thank you, buddy."

Efron then mentioned that some of his most “intense” fans are actually moms and they’ve stuck with him since his High School Musical days:

"You know what? I think moms are little bit less…they have less of a guard up, in a good way," he said. "Dads, there's this weird thing of, like, 'We're all men here, right?' So, it's like, they don't know if they want to admit it or not…and then, like, later in the same night, I would see that person and they would be, like, a little drunk singing a High School Musical song."

Efron is also known as one of the most-fit actors in Hollywood. This was especially revealed for his role for the 2017 movie Baywatch. He went on to mention how difficult it was to prepare for that role:

“That was actually a really important time to do Baywatch because I realized that when I was done with that movie, I don’t ever want to be in that good of shape again. Really. It was so hard,” he said. “You’re working with almost no wiggle room, right? You’ve got things like water under your skin that you’re worrying about, making your six-pack into a four-pack. S—— like that it’s just not…it’s just stupid.”

According to Muscle & Fitness, Efron reached 5% body fat after only 12 weeks of intense training for his role in Baywatch.

Efron went on to mention in the interview that he’s okay with never getting that ‘jacked’ again and values taking care of other parts of your health:

“I’m happy that it worked, I’m happy that it got me through it. I may do it again if it was something worthwhile. But we’ll wait till it gets to that. I’m good,” he said. “Take care of your heart, take care of your brain and you’re good.”
