Rihanna has always played life by her rules. The ANTI singer likes to do things her own way, darling and the Bajan beauty has been proving that throughout her career. With multi-million-dollar businesses on deck (hello, Fenty Beauty) and a plethora of platinum plaques, Rihanna has shown that it pays to dare to go after the things you want in life.

So, what could the woman who wants for nothing still long for in life? Apparently, RiRi has her eye locked squarely on motherhood.

Rihanna got very candid in her cover story with British Vogue and spoke openly about her desire to start a family in the next decade. Despite being the embodiment of a badass boss, and scaling multiple businesses, our island queen does have plans to slow down and bask in her accomplishments with some babies in tow. "I’ll have kids–three or four of ’em," she revealed.

What's even more epic is that the artist is willing to make that dream become reality whether a man is in the picture or not.

"I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."

Amen to that. Rihanna is a celeb that you don't often see jumping in and out of romances. Even her relationship with ex-billionaire boo Hassan Jameel was kept tightly under wraps.

Rihanna and her Saudi Arabian billionaire bae were first linked romantically in 2017 and were in a relationship for almost three years. Even in that relationship, RiRi reportedly faced struggles with maintaining an image for Jameel and remaining true to herself. Allgedly, that's what led to their breakup.

"Rihanna and Hassan truly love each other, but Hassan was having difficulties with Rihanna’s image because of pressure on him to have a more traditional and reserved relationship," a source shared. "He was feeling it from his family, who think Rihanna is stunningly beautiful, but they also wanted her to be more tame, reserved and demure."

Rihanna chose herself. So, it doesn't come as a huge surprise that her philosophy on love and family planning might not include a standard Prince Charming. What she can bring to the table in a child's life will more than suffice. Our favorite bad gal is making sure that she works now so that she can give her kids their best lives later.

"I’m working like this now so that I don’t have to in the future," Rihanna admitted. "I know I will want to live differently. In ten years? I’ll be 42! I’ll be ancient."

The 32-year-old entrepreneur also confessed that getting older has provided her with a lot of clarity about the things she will and will not tolerate. "Since I turned 32, I'm realizing life is really short. You don't have a lot of time to tolerate shit, you know? You put so much on your plate."

She continued, "When you're overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I'm overwhelmed too much. What's happening now is that I'm going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down."
