John Legend is gearing up to release his sixth studio album very soon, and from what the singer has said about the project, it will be his sexiest record to date.

While the married father-of-two hasn’t disclosed an official release date just yet, he joked that his new music will leave fans making plenty of “coronababies.”

Despite wanting to put his finishing touches on the new album, John is faced with a few challenges now that he’s been self-isolating in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which has made the recording process a little trickier.

While talking to Jimmy Fallon for a virtual chat on “The Tonight Show,” the 41-year-old explained: “The new album is coming, we're mixing it, we're getting our strings finished.”

“I’m not sure how we'll execute our string recording, I don't know how we'll distance our way into an orchestra recording. We'll figure that out, maybe we'll have to do a few players at a time and overdub it.”

John went on to insist that his new album is “probably my sexiest album to date,” which should already give fans an idea as to what the Grammy-winning singer could be singing about.

“If you're stuck at home and want to make some coronababies … if you spend a lot of time with your partner and you need a soundtrack to that,” he added.

Earlier this month, the “Ordinary People” hitmaker released the album’s lead single “Actions.”

The song hears John call on people to take “actions” on precious moments which can sometimes be taken for granted, singing: “Here I go again/ With another love song/ That I wasted.”

“I wanna show my love is strong/ Make her feel it when I'm home/ No fakin'/ No mistakin’. Actions speak louder than love songs.”

It was just last week when John first announced plans to drop a full body of work later this year - the timing seemed interesting given how most artists have postponed their projects during the coronavirus outbreak.

But John thinks that despite the unfortunate events that are happening in the world, this is the perfect time to release new music to his fans.

“Just so you guys know, I am putting out a new album this year,” the Grammy and Oscar winner announced.

“Everybody's home, you need stuff, you need music, you need TV, you need films. You need stuff to entertain you, so I'm going to put some music out.

“We're going to release some music. I don't know what the schedule going to be like, we're just going to start putting stuff out. We're in the process of mixing a lot of the stuff on the record. Luckily, I already wrote and recorded most of it.”

John is married to model Chrissy Teigen. Together, the couple shares two children: daughter Luna, 3, and their one-year-old son Miles.
