Fans of ABC’s The View have found a change amid the COVID-19 scramble that they are enjoying.
Several of the hosts of the popular daytime show have broadcast from home in an effort to maintain social distancing, and former host, Sara Haines, has come in to fill in some of the gaps.
According to [Cheat Sheet[(https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/the-view-fans-are-hoping-sara-haines-stays-on-the-show-for-good.html/) has subbed for Goldberg, Behar, and McCain, all of whom have stayed away from the studio for different reasons concerning their higher risk factors.
After Hanes first appearance, her fans began to ask that the former host stay on indefinitely.
“Can we please re-hire Sara?” one follower wrote on Instagram. “❤️❤️❤️ that Sarah is back. Make her stay‼️” another posted.
“I have been loving having Sarah back on the view! I’ve missed her! ❤️❤️,” another follower commented.
“Haines was a panelist on the ABC daytime talk show from 2016 to 2018,” Cheat Sheet reported. “Leaving to head up Strahan & Sara before third co-host Keke Palmer joined the team, Haines announced her departure from The View letting her followers know the parting left her with mixed emotions.”
“Ahhhhhhhh!! Not even sure I can find the words to adequately express how excited I am to sit next to @michaelstrahan as we embark on this new journey at @GMA #GMADay…it is (and has been) a dream of mine for a LONG time,” Haines wrote on Instagram in July 2018.
“It’s bittersweet though as I leave @theviewabc, a place I have called home for the past couple years. A huge thank you to all the viewers and fans who have followed me along the way. I LOVE my View family, but don’t worry, my brand new view is literally down the street.”
Co-host of ABC’s The View Meghan McCain, announced just days ago that she and husband Ben Domenech, were expected their first child.
“I consulted with my doctors and they advised me that for the safety of our baby and myself, I should be extra vigilant about limiting the amount of people we come in contact with. Starting immediately, I’ll be joining the millions of Americans who are self-isolating as a precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, I will be appearing on ‘The View’ from home via satellite,” the ABC host said.
McCain also thanked those who work at her network for allowing her to stay out of harm’s way during this crucial time.
McCain, along with hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg have all started broadcasting remotely, as the other two hosts are in an age category that puts them at higher risk for infection and harsher symptoms.
“I’m fortunate that my employer, ABC, has allowed me and my co-hosts to work remotely. I am indebted to our producers and crew,” the new mom went on.
“I also want to acknowledge the heroes – the doctors, nurses, grocery and pharmacy workers, journalists, police officers, firemen and military – who are on the front lines of this fight.”
