Kim Kardashian West Continues to Exude Her Philanthropic Spirit

Kim Kardashian-West is side-by-side with her husband, Kanye West helping during this time. The mother of four is no stranger to philanthropy and humanitarian acts.

For the past couple of years, the KUWTK star’s name has been tied to several acts of kindness as she does her part to make the world a better place. Now, as the world faces of with a global pandemic, Kim Kardashian is continuing to be a shining example of what it means to help your fellow man.

On Friday, the 39-year-old reality announced she would be increasing her initial pledge to $1 million from her shapewear company SKIMS from her original donation to families in need. West mentioned in a statement how by doing so the brand will be able to help bring relief to those affected by the pandemic.

"I am so grateful to all of you who have supported SKIMS since we first started six months ago," West said in a statement. "It’s been a dream of mine for so long and has only been possible because of your love for what we do."

Now she is taking her generosity a step further by offering the use of her SKIMS factories to help manufacture facial masks amid the pandemic to help combat and eradicate the virus. According to West, she has several factories across the world that could help produce the needed masks. West made the announcement while appearing on The View on Tuesday.

'And we have been exploring that, of how to make like medical-grade masks, how to make things that would be helpful in the hospitals,' she said.

Currently, West’s factories are currently vacant due to her temporarily shutting them down to help comply with California’s social distancing advisories.

More than 100 million Americans have been ordered to stay at home as the Senate worked to pass a trillion-dollar stimulus package to help Americans and businesses during this time.

Kardashian also mentioned how she was working to find out how her fragrance company can also help manufacture hand sanitizer that is also seen a shortage. Kardashian would be joining major couture brand Louis Vuitton in transforming her factories to help produced needed supplies.

'I've been working with our partners in other companies that have donated masks and we're working with our fragrance company to get sanitizer made.'

Both West and her husband have made huge contributions to a variety of companies to help those in need during this time. Kanye West’s donations have gone towards two food relief organizations in his hometown of Chicago. West’s donation from her shapewear line will go to Baby2Baby. The organization helps moms and babies.

According to West, she has been a huge donor for them donating diapers and strollers and tons of baby stuff of hers throughout the years.
