The tension between the Kardashian sisters has been escalating for the past few seasons now, but finally came to a head on the premiere episode.

Apparently the altercation resulted in the sisters deciding to give each other space, which ended up putting filming of their show on hold until the drama was settled. It turns out that there was much more behind-the-scenes drama that was happening that viewers weren’t privy to. Kim ended up speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show and explained her side of the situation. Kim said, “I don’t really ever resort to violence like that. But she scratched me so hard, you couldn’t see, but I was bleeding. And so you didn’t really get see that detail [on the show].”

From what the viewers did see of the fight, the argument began when the sisters were discussing work ethic. This isn’t the first time the sisters have argued about work ethic, as the fam has ganged up on Kourtney before for not being as ambitious as the other sisters in terms of business. Kim told Fallon that they were pushing Kourtney to try and figure out “why she was so unhappy.” Things eventually got so explosive that Kourtney scratched her sister (causing her to bleed) which led to Kim slapping her sister in the face.

While Kim said it wasn’t her proudest moment, she shared more with Fallon about how things erupted the way they did. "It was pretty intense. I feel like it's been a lot of built-up resentment from Kourtney or just feeling like she doesn't really want to film [the show] anymore. She's not the type of person to make a decision and say, 'OK, guys, I'm not gonna film.' But she would come to work with an attitude every day, kind of take it out on everyone, from the crew to us, and wouldn't really make that decision."

The fight was so intense, Kim revealed that she and her sister, along with everyone else that was behind the camera decided to take a pause. The sisters ended up taking a break from each other, meanwhile production was shut down for a week. Kim explained, “Everyone was really shook for a minute and just was like, ‘This isn’t like our type of show.’ We want everyone to be comfortable and safe.” Meanwhile, Kourtney seemingly confirmed on Twitter that she has indeed quit the show.
