Wilkinson made her TV debut at 19-years-old along with Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, as the girlfriends of the late Playboy Mansion star, Hugh Hefner.

The trio starred on "The Girls Next Door" series, which featured the lives of Hefner's then-girlfriends, for six seasons before saying their goodbyes in 2010.

Although the "Kendra" star was famous for her TV appearances, her life changed after separating from Baskett in 2018. Wilkinson no longer got offers from Hollywood, and this made surviving as a single mother difficult.

The media personality hit a low point as she wondered how to provide for her two adorable children. In her words:

"I was not finding work. I was down and out, I wasn't getting calls. So I had to really start thinking, 'What am I gonna do next? How am I going to provide for my children?"

Hollywood may have given up on the mother-of-two, but the 36-year-old didn't stop fighting to succeed. Fortunately, her resilience paid off, and the E! star found her spark in the real estate business.

The "Sliding Into Home" author got her license as a realtor and snagged the reality TV show "Kendra Sells Hollywood," which aired on November 17.

Given that she attained grace from grass, it was not surprising that the former Playboy Mansion resident didn't wish to date for the time being. Wilkinson said:

"It's like, 'Who am I to date someone and not go out to these meetings and all that?' I can't be tethered down right now. I need to shoot for the stars."

In 2018, The Blast reported on Wilkinson and Baskett's rollercoaster marriage which was made public on the reality TV shows, "Kendra on Top" and "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars."

News of troubles in the ex-couple's marital home surfaced in 2014 after the former NFL player allegedly cheated on his wife with a transgender model.

At the time of the scandal, the blonde model was pregnant with the pair's second child. Although Baskett denied these allegations, the former spouses' end was inevitable.

In April 2018, the mother-of-two filed for divorce, putting an end to their 8-year relationship. In response to Wilkinson's actions, the former athlete disclosed that their marriage ended due to "irreconcilable differences."

The "DWTS" alum announced that the couple's divorce had reached its final stage in October while subtly shading her ex-husband on Twitter.

The 36-year-old revealed that she fought to save her marriage until the final moment; however, her efforts weren't enough.

The mother-of-two didn't seem fazed by the finalization of her divorce as she wrote, "Oh well. Life goes on. Bye lol."
