Kourtney Kardashian recently shared that she made her 10-year-old son Mason delete his Instagram account after going on the platform’s Live feature without his parent’s permission.

On March 24, Mason created his own Instagram page and live-streamed with fans while answering several questions people had commented in the chatbox.

During her own Instagram live stream on March 25, Kourtney explained that she and ex-boyfriend Scott Disick immediately jumped in and had Mason removed from the social networking site, stressing that he was “too young.”

She explained the situation to her friend Sarah Howard, mentioning that her son had never informed his parents that he wanted to get an Instagram account.

“I did delete it because Scott and I just felt like he isn't - he's 10!” Kourtney gushed.

The mother-of-three went on to explain that while Mason doesn’t have a mobile phone, he does have access to an iPad and a computer for all of his school work - but she doesn't allow him to use social media.

The 40-year-old sees no reason for her kids to be having a phone at their age, so she’s very firm when it comes to the restrictions she puts in place regarding social media and tech devices such as mobile phones.

Kourtney expressed that one of her biggest concerns about her son being on social media is the fact that he’ll come across negative comments that could have a drastic effect on his mental well-being, particularly because he’s still so young.

And since she knows all about being trolled and having people write mean things about her, Kourtney wants to avoid that for her son at all costs - at least until he’s old enough to understand that people’s opinions shouldn’t weigh on his conscience.

“No, Kylie and Travis are not back together,” the youngster said.

In her recent interview with Health magazine, Kourtney explained the importance of setting boundaries in her life when it comes to social media, adding that she feels so much better about herself whenever she takes a break from checking her timeline on a constant basis.

“I try to set boundaries because I notice how much better I feel when I’m not on it as much. I put my phone in the bathroom at nighttime,” the reality star quipped.

“My kids don’t have phones, but I make sure that all the devices in the house—iPads and computers— have the Night Shift [it reduces blue light] on 24 hours a day. And we definitely have time limits [on devices].”
