Things have been quite rough for the royal family recently. The Windsors had to come to grips with the sudden loss of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working members of the royal family.

And now the COVID-19 global pandemic has caused people around the world to alter the way they have been conducting their everyday lives. The royals have been no different. But at least one member is getting back to semi-normal now.

Not all of the royals did not necessarily take the Coronavirus pandemic seriously at first. Prince William was criticized over comments he made in the earlier days of the outbreak.

While on his first official visit to Ireland, the Duke of Cambridge joked that he and wife Kate Middleton had to be careful not to spread the virus around and promised to stop spreading it if asked. He implied that people were paranoid about the virus and that they assumed they had contracted it when they only had a regular cough.

Eventually, the royals began to see how scary this outbreak actually is and they started to take precautionary measures. Though royal experts and commentators were upset with Harry and Meghan for leaving their son, Archie Harrison, in Canada when they returned to the UK this month, reports indicated it was fear of the virus that prompted that decision.

Queen Elizabeth II was said to be disappointed that she could not see her great-grandson, but she also canceled public events and began to stay home more often due to the outbreak.

A Positive Diagnosis

Despite the precautionary measures eventually taken by the royal family, not everyone came out of the pandemic free and clear. Prince Charles was diagnosed with COVID-19 after showing what reports called mild symptoms of the illness.

The Prince of Wales was put under quarantine, but not before traveling to his Balmoral home in Scotland, where he carried out his self-isolation. Reports indicated only a small number of staff remained in Charles' home during the time of his illness and quarantine measures.

Out Of Isolation

Sources now say that Prince Charles has been given permission from his doctors to exit self-isolation. Though it sounds as if the prince will still be keeping his distance from other people as often as possible. Reports also say he will not be leaving his home unless it is for an essential trip.

Previously, however, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles were isolated separately from each other as she had tested negative after he was diagnosed with the virus. At this point, the two could reunite if they chose.
